meh I wasn't perfect lol - but in the end it's not noticeable at all. I think it was muscle-memory with the tracing tho - I used to do that ALL the time when I was younger ;)

Mine arrived today and I colored with them for the first time. I really like how well they move on the paper. I had to sharpen them all right away because the end was just too blunt but once I did they were fun

They remind me of watercolor crayons. I have some from Caran D'ache and I do love them. I also have some watercolor pencils from someone but I don't have them with me and rarely used them.

Absolutely love this, the colours are gorgeous and that's a beautiful floral! My watercolor pencils finally arrived, I really like them, they're so creamy and don't leave the pencil marks like a lot of other WC pencils. I don't think I'll use them for card making but they are perfect for my art and junk journal! And thanks for your strathmore WC paper recommendation, I now LOVE my Karin markers!! 😍 I'm so excited to use them again, thank you!

Hi Amy! Love, love love your card! I love the gold spatters, nice touch. If my budget allowed, I'd by all three sets! Not that I need another watercolor pencil set, but it's Tim Holtz and his yummy distress colors!

These watercolor pencils are on my wish list, it is hard to resist, but this is Stamptember. Priorities ya know. Tim Holtz will have a stamp coming soon, and his are always my favorites. I pretty much know ahead of time that I will be buying the Gina K, and Tim Holtz designs.

Oh my chicken, I perked up when I heard you were another with carpal tunnel. I've only got a card and half done in the last month due to a bad flare-up. I think I'm compensating by watching so many videos, lol. And shopping. Stamptember is blowing the budget, but meh, we're buying happiness for ourselves and others we share with. I, too, am very heavy handed. I actually have (and use often) watercolor pencils so if these weren’t distress colors, I wouldn’t need ‘em…but they are distress colors, so of course I had to order them 🤩 You painted that image beautifully.

yes Kelly still does outline her images. Love the pencils may have invest in them. Just find ordering in Canada is crazy expensive. Unless there is a cheaper way to do it.

I'm hesitating getting them... I love all things distress, but if I want to color, I use the re-inkers... On the other hand, it's Distress... But as usual, a beautiful card. I love those big flowerstamps... Gotta use mine more...

Right before the Distress pencils came out I purchased another set of watercolor pencils….wish I would have waited. 😕 Anyway, gorgeous florals! Love the colors you chose.

oh there will be so many ways to use them - Tim showed some in his videos and there are already a bunch of posts and videos out showing ways to use them that don't involve coloring in an image. I think they'll be fun to play with regardless! ;) ;)

Such a beautiful card, Amy! I really like the variation of color in the petals, especially before you added the second layer. I like it with the darker colors too and assume you tend to use darker colors because it shows up better on pictures and videos. I have my pencils on order too, but I’m a little worried about having to use a lot of pressure. Are they super firm?

they're firm but like I showed you can choose what pressure you use or skip coloring on the paper and just pick up the color with a paint brush or water brush from the tip of the pencil.

Kelly still does it. I started watching her about the time I started watching you. Save those body parts Amy. The best thing is to keep your stamp in your Misti until you decide if you want to restamp.

I was annoyed when I saw these come out because I had JUST ordered some of Dina Wakely's scribble sticks. I know they aren't the same, but I don't think I need two tmediums that are so similar. Oh well.
