For the body colors you could use : - (civilian) glossy black for cars far removed from the front. Black green would be more suitable for police vehicles. - mat "panzer" grey, standard color until 1942. The grey got lighter as the war progressed, due to more diluted paint. - mat sand yellow with redbrown and green camouflage from 1942 onwards. Many vehicles which were not considered for 1st frontline duty however kept their original grey paint. I didn't detail the exact colours as that is a discussion with which whole books and websites have been filled.

W142 is the internal code number for this Mercedes - Benz car. Using the brand name would require an authorisation including a licencing fee by Mercedes-Benz which probably won't be cheap.

Hi Jason, It looks like ICM did a real nice job on this kit. The figures look great too. I will be looking forward to seeing how it builds up. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff

for this one go to wikipedia, search W142 and then switch to the german wikipedia page for this car. There you'll find a very nice picture of a W142 in a museum. You'll need bare matal foil or something else, but it should look fantastic painted like the car on the picture.

A diorama with this car as background to a plane would be fun. Shame car scales and plane scales rarely coincide. Vehicles 1/35. Planes 1/48. Very frustrating.

Fully agree, although border I think have done 1/35 aircraft you really need a 1/35 Ju52, agree your diorama ida sounds great

Both Tamiya and Hasegawa do 1/48 German staff cars. Hasegawa even released a Priller special. You get a 190, BMW car and Priller in the same kit 🙂

@@knight_flyer1199 Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into that. I prefer sticking with 1/48.
