I have Amethyst and the Exquise and Eclat versions, I love them all. Amethyst is one of those scents I can't live without. I agree about the soapiness, definitely not sexy, but very clean and uplifting with the green and the tart berries, so gorgeous, with a darkness other fruity perfumes don't have despite the fact that it also sparkles and has a freshness to it. It's like fresh blackberries and it's leaves still growing on the bush, rather than a sweet blackberry pie. Its one I reach for a lot during the summer and sometimes autumn daytimes. It does remind me a little of the old body shop dewberry scent from the nineties. When I put it on, I feel clean, fresh, happy and uplifted - so much so that sometimes I put it on just to clean the house, because it puts me in that kind of mood. I want everything to sparkle like my perfume. It makes me feel very ready for the day ahead. 😂 This Exquise one is absolutely stunning, and very sexy, and means I can wear my beloved Amethyst whatever the occasion.

Exquise is defo the sexier one! I have developed a real love for the original Amethyst since I got it though - it is fresh and clean (smells like it has basil in it to me!) But you're right.... its somehow dark, like a forest full of berry bushes at night!
