The shark looks alright, but the ship and the minifigs are amazing.

@@danielsdimension2003 agreed. But then the shark in the movie was quite mechanical up close. Why you hardly saw it

@GJBricks in 2002 I visited Universal Studios and sat in the tour ride...recalled seeing the dummy diver pulped up by Jaws amid the dock fire explosions... and the mechanical shark ...just over 2 decades later in early 2024 I revisit Universal Studios with my famikt and yup still there :)😅😮😊

@@GJBricksactually if you add a Lego Steven Speilberg and Mcfarlane or NECA is actually selling a mechanical Jaws shark model you could include it for some brickitastic fishtasy shots.... 😮

@@GJBricks actually I have a Neca Quint figure... I took a photo of him holding a gashapon Fugu pufferfish as a humorous joke and also a slight nod reference in the novel where he tells off Hooper to tell the Japanese about ethics of fishing sashimi Tuna

It does! But do they need a bigger boat?

I also collect fish gashapon so combining this lego set and add in a lego net plus a few fish on deck and lego Quint posing that would be quite the toyriffic or rather Brickatastic event ...

the minifigures sold it for me, looks so close to the actual actors. And the pricing is somewhat reasonable compared to some recent releases. let's see what other promo will be on Aug, to decide if it's a day 1 buy or wait for discount later.

This set has been designed well, catering for people who display sets and people like me who use sets. So you can display Jaws and put the boat in your city. Is this LEGO Ideas at it's finest? You tell me...

Only real gripe would be if only the Shark was in a MOLD rarher than a buildable MOC type piece and if they had better Shark Cartilage Jaws at the bow of the boat, better Barrels and even rope lines to connect for the barrel chase and ofc the FULL SHARK CAGE... add a fishing rod and you've scored your catch!!!!

I need to check the original idea because the shark was much better apparently

@@GJBricks who knew that Speilberg was taking a huge risk in the 1970s as he was over budget and on top of the fact the 3 mechanical sharks each were 250K in 1975 dollars which today is close to 1 million dollars each and so nearly 3 million if not more than 3 million bucks 2023 2024 spent on them prop sharks that were rather flawed

@@GJBricks hence makes a Lego set rather pennies and dimes compared to spending hundreds of grands on a mechanical shark with proplems (yes pun intended)
