Just to remind you that Montenegro was not a province of Serbia, but an independent state which joined Yugoslavia in 1918. It didn't become independent from Serbia in 2006, it just left the federation as a separate republic, not as a part of Serbia. Still a good video

Thank you for the video! I was in Budva in 1987 for vacation as a 12 year old boy. We stayed for 4 weeks there. The city changed a lot, so many new hotels and overcrowded beaches. But I remember I jumped from the same rock like you did. Good old memories.

My thaughts after visiting Montengro and Serbia. - Each city you visit and stay overnight in AirBnB or Hotel in Montenegro you have to go with your passport to the tourist office and pay 1euro tourist tax per day. If you live in a Hotel they should take care of It but always double check. The fine for not paying is 180euros. You have 48hours from arrival date in your passport to pay the tourist tax. -At the local Cellphone carrier stores you can buy e-sim or sim cards for internet: either 10days or 15fays and you get over 500GB data for only 15euros! This is important since Montenegro is not a EU country and roaming on an EU carrier will cost huge amounts. -Montenegro people are much nicer than expected. I would rate Bosnian the friendliest and funniest, then Croatian, Montenegrian, Macedonian and very last place in all of Europe Serbian. English was excellent and they treated tourists very well. Reminds me of how nice Bosnians are. Generally Montenegrans over the age of 30 are much nicer. Young men are very cocky and challenging kind of like teenage Croatians are. -Budva is way to expensive! It's at the same level 2024 as France or Croatia and the countries mentioned is a much better experience! Kotor & Budva feels like a mix between Ayanapa/Magaluf/Croatia and Greece in the 70s. The Good about Kotor: Great boat trips much better than the ones in Budva, nice old town, nice reataurants with atleast twice the standard as in Budva. I'd recommend highly staying in old town if possible! The small beach had civilized crowd and easy to find a good spot. It get's really crowded when a cruisship is in the bay, so use a website like shipradar to spot when cruise ships will arrive. The bad about Budva: Underdeveloped City mixed with really ugly spots, trashrivers flow down on the beach every 100meters, trash in parks, the City smells of trash really bad every 30meters, messy beach with cocky 18-25year old Serbian youngsters. We found only 3 good spots along the entire beach up to quality expected at the prices. West side of Old town "Mogren Plaža" or "Plaža Ričardova Glava" where they have a few restaurants (the east side of old town has a small beach that looks like trash) and the more posh "Coco Beach club" was one of them. Great staff! Clean and tidy! All in all It took 2days in Budva to develop blindfolds for the random trash and smells and ugly buildings and broken curbs and failed parks and construction projects. It's probably because of the corrupt government because most of the bad stuff are the governments responsibility. Nightclubs sucks and It felt like partying with COVID restrictions because all the places have standing tables on the dancefloor and you have to stand there and wait 30minutes for a server to walk past before you get anything to drink. Most likely every table around you will be Balkan guys and no ladies available to approach or talk to at all! Drinks are 7-12 Euros! Beer 5-8 Euros! Food is 11-30 Eiros from Pizza/Pasta to Meatdishes. - Never EVER go to Belgrade! It's Europes most dangerous City, I got a gun pointed at me 3 times in nightclubs by talking to local couples and girls from Sweden that were ex Serbian on vacation. Serbians are very rough and abbrassive and are not to casually talk to.
