I was in Beirut too in the 70’s .I was a flight attendant and had our layovers there, staying in Phoenicia hotel. When the civil war started in 1975 we were there and the airport was closed so we were taken by road to DAMASCUS. it was a sad , 😢 day. I hope to return one day.

Hello World Nomac, nice video! Were you in the mountains near Ehden? Was it close to Sawda? Was the weather cold? What temperature was there? If so, you could hike up to Sawda to view the beautiful sunrise and sunset over Lebanon and even Mediterranean Sea and parts of Syria and Cyprus on a clear day. Also, when you are in Ehden, you could visit several interesting places: La Jetee, famous Gibran Museum, Tannounne Cedar Forest, Cedars of God Bsharri, and Youssef Bey Karam statue at St George’s Church with beautiful view of the mountains.

Sadly the Lebanese are more preoccupied, to what country to travel and visit. While they forget that first visit and know your country. It's a small country learn. Some don't even know the history and our main language was Aramaic derive. Yet they feel free to critics Some pple because they have an accent not know its the main remaining from their own country.
@28Justchecking3 жыл бұрын
@Jay Bee thanks GOD, we are from the north of Lebanon. And we knew pple from all the corners of Lebanon So I was raised to visit every corner of it without being scared that this area is more Muslim this one is more Christian. And I'm not yng so I'm born in 82 mean during the fight and war and we never thought about it. That's why we grew in my family with the mentality of all Lebanon is to us and not part of it depending on the religion. I feel sad when I know some southern they don't know the north of Lebanon , there is some southern they think Palestine known for the Olive while forgetting that Lebanon is also known for the olive and one of our biggest exportation is the olive oil, because these pple are mostly living in their circle, you don't know how many of them are surprised to know their is an area called El koura in Lebanon and its mostly orthodoxe and their tradition is close to the Greek and we have lands of olives and we have the biggest olive exportation. Some Lebanese they don't even know that the most expensive wine on earth thousands of y ago was the Phoenician wine and it was only consumed by kings mostly. So no, I was never criticized for, but pple try to criticize me because they were sleeping in history classes and because they never did their own research or DNA test to find out more about them and about Lebanon. I'm in Canada and till today most of my products are Lebanese from Canada or I order them online from Lebanon.
