I think you must visit the Modern city of Metro Manila ..the BGC or Bonifacio Global City, and also Ayala, Makati city , also the Mall of Asia in Pasay . If you want to visit the islands I recommend Boracay which is the number 1 leisure beach in the world and also cebu and Palawan which is the unesco heritage site island

the locals tend to stare because they're curious about you and most likely want to engage you in a conversation. they're just not sure if you'll be a snob and not reciprocate. and one thing too, most likely they 're very intrigued about your flowing , wavy hair. pinoys and pinays are very vain and they tend to admire long and beautiful unique hair styles. so don't be scared of talking to the locals because they'll be more than happy to try and connect w/ you. but of course, do exercise common sense because like all places in the world, there are bad eggs around.

if you happen to ride a tricycle should know usual rate from your reliable hotel staff.. and ask price first and negotitate with the driver if its high before riding.. 😊 as for taxis(just make sure the meter is On.. for eating new food, ask the Restaurant staff how to eat a particular dish and make the sauce if it needs any.. let them guide you.. and for viand always eat with rice hehe.. filipino food always wth rice.. if youll try Halo halo(mix mix)dessert.. ask the locals weres the best place to try it.. if halo halo from fast food chain--try it from Chowking and Razons.. and always mix it well from bottom to top before eating halo halo ☺️

Some foreigners have mis conception hers in the Philippines especially Manila It's safe in Manila just don't rude Taxi ..the park that you've been in called Luneta Park were our National Hero ( Jose Rizal ) was shot by the Spaniards, i If you come back in Manila from Bohol visit Intramuros,, the world's oldest China Town in the world in Binondo ,SM Mall of Asia ( MOA) one of the biggest Mall in Asia ,Makati & BGC ( The transportation here in the Philippines are Jeepney ( jeep from the Americans during World War 2) Bus ,LRT ,NRT , Grab ..the one that you saw with a horse is called Kalesa ( transportation in the Philippines during the days before automobile invented ) Have Fun because ITS MIRE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES 💟🇵🇭

Be careful getting taxis. Some drivers at the airport will overcharge, especially anyone arriving because they think you have a lot of money. Better to get Grab or a shuttle service out of the airport.

If you guys would love to visit some islands down the south side of the philippines i would recommend going to bantayan,boracay and my island "malapascua island" its nicknamed as small boracay and i think its cheaper than boracay... and if u do go to malapascua i would recommend going on an island hopping to "kalanggaman island" which is something u dont want to miss when u go to malapascua or u can just go island tour where they tour u around the island to do snorkeling etc.

The one you guys called bus is a jeepney, its our most common public transportation because of the cheap price🙂 Moreover, Filipinos are always fascinated to the looks of foreigners that's why they looked at you guys. I’m sorry for your first impression of Philippines with the taxi driver but that’s with any country who has dishonest people (I had my passport stolen when I was in Paris but that didn’t stop me from enjoying my time there). As foreigners you will stand out as sore thumb, just smile, say “Hello!” you will be surprised how friendly Filipinos truly are. The area that you are in is not the best area in Manila. As a Filipina , I wouldn’t got there myself. Very brave of you to eat balut! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. Enjoy the rest of vacation. Go to other parts of the country to fully have the experience of Philippines.

Manila taxis are the worst in the PH even though lots of reports/negative impressions about them, they hardly learn & change. But talking about the metro Manila area you will be surprised of the contrast of the place, areas like Makati, BGC Taguig, Bay area Pasay & Ortigas Mandaluyong. And just don't be so introvert & paranoid about safety in the PH, its not as dangerous as you think. Filipinos are probably the most friendly people you could ever be around, just be friendly/normal so it would not be weird. I tell you, it is the easiest country in Asia that you can Socialize. As they say 'Its more fun in the Philippines'. Enjoy guys.

You can always record your conversation with any taxi driver.though,my tactic is ,i usually ask them for their phone numbers ,as i pretend that ill be hiring their services,if another known driver doesnt show up.also,never say to an uber or any driver that its your first time wherever youre going.i usually tell them ,been here more numerous times and has busy friends around.

If you ever have the time, try visiting the northern part of the country. I'd recommend the ilocos region, Cordillera (mountainous) region, and batanes which is considered the most beautiful province in the Philippines. They also have islands and beaches there specifically in the Ilocos region. While the Cordillera region is known for its cold climate in a tropical country. You should also try looking up las casas Filipinas de Acuzar in bagac bataan, which is pretty much a town full of hundreds of years old Filipino houses. It's pretty close to manila so it's an easy travel.

If people look at you …just say hi Most of them want to be in your vlog …Manila in general is not safe ,but there’s a certain areas if you know them they’re more safer,you just have to be careful I got pick pocketed when I was in Italy during daylight…so I guess danger is everywhere…✌🏻🇫🇷

The tourism department should really look into setting fixed rate among taxis, jeeps, tricycles. There are more scammers than honest ones.It is a total turn-off to tourists and locals alike. They need to realize that tourism benefits the country and scamming tourists turns them away.
