1:17 ; Those shiny red berries are rose hips. (Nypon) Growing on a tall rose hedge... Don't eat them. They're full of dry "hairy" seeds. You cold go for rose hip soup, however. Eighter hot or cold. It's called "NYPONSOPPA". This is made from dried rose hip flesh, and tastes sweet and delicious. It also contains a lot of vitamin C, so quite healty stuff ! 🫖😘

The berries you saw is Rose Hip, and no they are not poisonous. I wouldn't recommend eating them as is. We mostly make a soup of them or a jam/marmalade.

What fun that you took us on the subway art tour. Each subway station is so unique. Old Stockholm looks so beautiful! Enjoy the rest of your time there. I look forward to seeing your next adventure. Ruby you did a great job of leading the tour today. ❤️ 👋 from 🇨🇦

There are more Subway stations with art.. Not just the ones you showed. And they are building a new line where there will be more stations like this. It is unique for Sweden.

I wouldn't say it is unique to Sweden. Moscow's subway system is the same but older.
@Nao-pj7mc2 жыл бұрын
@@pierrenilsson6189 Moscows subway is not similar at all, its unique in its own way but its nowhere near similar to the stockholm subway.

The station Tekniska Högskolan does not have a Shakespeare theme. It's where the Royal Institute of Technology is located. As the station is not royal only Institute of technology ( Tekniska Högskolan) is in the name. As for the art it celebrates scientific discoveries and technological achievements. The most eye-catching details are five polyhedrons hanging from the ceiling representing Plato's five bodies: fire, water, air, earth and ether. There are also representations of Copernicus' heliocentric model, Polhem's ( a famous Swedish inventor ) mechanical alphabet, Newton's three laws and da Vinci's sketches of flying machines.

Actually the King do not live or sleep in the Royal Palace, he lives at another palace in the outskirts of Stockholm, west of the most central parts Stockholm. The Royal palace is from where he and the Crown Princess works (when they do not work from home) and recieve official guests. The Crown Princess live in a smaller palace (just a big old house really, would hardly be called a palace outside of the Nordic countries), north of the most central parts Stockholm.

That's cool, I've been to Stockholm only a few times but never actually in the subway. I think you can buy a 7 day SL card that works for the subway, buses and boats, quite cheap.

The berries are nypon (rose hip). Not nice to eat off the bush but nice to eat as a soup (nyponsoppa). It is a sweet soup (more like desert rather than food) and good with icecream.

The red/orange berries are not toxic. They are called Rose Hips. Nypon in Swedish. But very little of the berry is fruit meat/pulp. Most of it consists of the hairy seeds which are unpleasant to eat. I recommend buying pre-made products based on Rose hips. I would say nypon soup is the most known product in Sweden.

Oh wow did not know that!

Yeah they are, you pay a one time fee and your entry pass is good for a year. And that's entry to all museums, in Stockholm!
@danvernier1982 жыл бұрын
Sadly this is no longer true. It's just about the first thing that changes every time we have a shift in government. Now we have a right wing government so as usual the first thing they did was reinstate the entrance fees in the museums.
