Man do I like that knife. One of the reasons (other than the price, ouch) I've held off on this purchase is the blade size, kinda small. I'm a big fan of Vox's work. To you, does this knife carry a little larger or does it truly feel like a small knife? Thanks for the video Stassa.

I'm interested in this knife but can yu help me understand the plunge grind issue ? Does it effect sharpening?

Would the Cold Steel American Lawman be a similiar choice at about half the price ?
@Stassa237 жыл бұрын
John Belanger the Lawman is still my favorite cold steel knife there different classes of knives I would consider the Tur a dress or gentlemans edc and my Lawman as an almost perfect hard use edc blade but it really depends on what your wanting in that department with the materials used with the Tur I think it would have been much better in the $150 to $180 range. Well brother hope your having a great day thanks for your comment

this knife is on my very short list. it's everything i like in a knife
@Stassa237 жыл бұрын
Kousii 2 it's pretty cool but does have some flaws I will talk about in the review once I've had more pocket time with it. It's definitely a good looking knife and a perfect size for edc
@gk_knivesandgear21837 жыл бұрын
Stassa23 yeah that carbadizing and the detent are potential red flags but for me, I'm not too worried about the smoothness as long as I can get the blade out. I just love that blade and the handles. maybe I'll get the TRE instead. I'm a little sick of flippers tbh. That's why this knife really spoke to me. the plunge line is annoying though.

I am such a sucker for Carbon Fiber. That's awesome! And lanyard space!!!
@Stassa237 жыл бұрын
Jimislash you can definitely put a nice lanyard on this bad boy and I must say this is probably one of the nicest looking cf on any production folder I've ever had it shimmers in the light at all angles. Oh I got my 4 max in today and that bad boy went in my back pocket of my shorts all day and wasn't to unwieldy but I think in going to pick up a horizontal belt sheath for her cause I think it will be easier for me to carry it that way being that for now I have to wear light weight shorts. Hey the next time I'm able to go to the post office I want to send you that crkt Ken Onion skinner fixed blade so you can check it out maybe even murder a little brisket with it if you would like to check it out
@Jimislash7 жыл бұрын
Stassa23 Oh, the 4Max! So addicting! I would love to check out that blade!
@Stassa237 жыл бұрын
Jimislash just wait I plan to do some fun testing with the 4max cause it's just begging to cause some destruction lol. And the next time I get a ride to the post office I will send that crkt your way so you can let me know what you think.

Are you going to do a wicked edge video? There's some stuff on it out there on KZbin but not a whole lot.
@Stassa237 жыл бұрын
crf450r bullet david I may try to do one once I have better lighting where I do my sharpening and once I have a laptop to edit my videos cause as of now it would be way to long of a video to do from start to finish. There are some good channels that have some good WE stuff like smokeeater908 and xacto and Zelrick you may want to check them out and in the mean time I'll work on getting the right setup to do so. Well brother hope your having a great day talk to you later

Cool man, I understand. It takes time to and money to get the equipment for these hobbies. I think I've watched most of the sharpening videos on here haha. I just got my we and it's progressively giving better and better edges. At first I was like man this thing ain't sharp but it just needed time to break in all the plates. And thanks, I hope you have a great rest of your day as well!
@Stassa237 жыл бұрын
crf450r bullet david I think it took 10 to 15 knives before my stones were really broken in especially my 50/80 grit stones those things were supper ruff at first and I actually used them to grind out some pry bar bevels so I didn't destroy any of my blade bevels but if you ever have any specific questions feel free to ask and if I have an answer I'll be happy to help. In the beginning I always colored the edge with a sharpie through all the grits to make sure I was apexing the edge through all the stones

I got mine on gpknives for $180. I feel good about that price but 209 , maybe not. I actually did order it from knifecenter but canceled the order the same night. I don't really understand how or what kind of deals the different venders have with various companies but I don't understand how gpknives was able to sell it for 30 bucks cheaper. Anyway great review 👍.
@Stassa237 жыл бұрын
Frank F I think knife center marks there's up because they give you point for your purchase to redeem once you get a bunch and have paid a shit ton of money so really your just paying to get those point lol. Yea $180 is a good price I got lucky and my buddy sold it to me for a huge discount close to half so I couldn't pass it up. Well brother hope your having a great night talk to you later
