Looks like a solid setup. I definitely think that tent is a great balance between ultralight, price, and comfort. It's not perfect, for sure, but it does great dollar for dollar and pound for pound. Can't wait to see the weather and field tests!

I’ve been looking at the Deschutes plus for a bit considering it for sure for price and comfort I think you did good on the Appalachian Trail

Thanks for watching, unfortunately I have not hiked the Appalachian Trail.

Looks good. I’m wondering how splash-back would be in a heavy downpour. Maybe you can lower the center pole to get it closer to the ground if it looks like a heavy rains coming?🤷♂️

Yup, I had the same thought. I definitely need to play around with it more and see

I love the idea of the single wall tents for weight purposes, but in the Midwest there is so much humidity that condensation is a big concern of mine. Do you think this is worth it over a duplex, which has the room to avoid getting stuff wet? 🤙🍻
@Everydaybackpacker2 жыл бұрын
I’m from the midwest and yes humidity is a definite factor. The duplex looks awesome for sure and definitely has the space, but $700 vs $300. 🤷♂️ ai don’t know. If I could afford a duplex I would go for it. Also, I’m hearing more reports of dyneema not having the longevity. So I don’t know. If I could try out a duplex I may change my opinion. My opinion of this may change on trail as well. We will see! Thanks for watching!

Great first look gm! What's the total weight on this one? The lack of bug net is a little concerning but boy do you get some nice interior space! Looking forward to seeing you use it in the field 🤙

Thanks dude, it does have bug netting but its tendency to pop up on the grass is concerning.
