I just got the new Sladder climbing system. Check out my climb and initial thoughts.
**I kept calling the stirrups "spurs." Please use the terms interchangably.
I am a paying customer. This is an excellent product. More videos to come. Check out the sladder@ www.grayskwereloutdoors.com.

No darky until October. But yeah...I've been one-sticking for years. And those ARE my normal hunting boots. Thank you for the passive aggression. Happy hunting.

Great video, I switch from a one stick to this last season. Love it. One thing you may want to try that I started doing is, when I reach hunting height I climb to the top of the stirrups set my platform at hunting height. I then put the Sladder on the opposite side of the tree at the same level as the platform. I can then utilize the 2 stirrups like ring steps.

@DrizzyD670
@DrizzyD670 23 күн бұрын
@Duhaubetahiks have you ever tried saddle hunting? It'll change your entire outlook on hunting. Truly. Not to be a dick... but I've encountered many folks who knock saddle hunting having never tried it. You can always tell because they claim that dated climbers are somehow superior to modern methods. And no way man. I can climb 20+ feet up a tree in less than.5 minutes, having exerted much less energy than a climber. And having only carried 5 lbs lbs of gear into the woods, as opposed to your 20-30 lb climber. Your sweating before you even get to the tree. If hunting off the ground, the only thing easier/ lighter than saddle hunting are permanent positions, ladder stands, etc.

Does it work well going up a tree with a few branches? Seems like it might as long as you are using the tether rather than a linesman's belt?

Just reading some of the comments saying it looks like to much work. But I think your microphone is set up in such a way that it picks up to much of your breathing and it makes it sound like your really exerting yourself, but the calmness of your voice is very relaxed telling a different story. Good review interesting product. Thanks.

Maaaan im almost sold. Im definitely in the market for sticks, but this may be the way to go. Is repelling down the only way to get down?? Couidnt i just do the same thing just in reverse?? Ive never one sticked before
@DrizzyD670
@DrizzyD670 18 күн бұрын
I mean, you could. But rappelling is the best way down IMO. If you use a rescue figure 8 in conjunction with a third hand autoblock, the descent is actually annoyingly slow and uneventful, even for my 220 lb ass! Happy to answer any more questions.

Probably want to invest in hooks from 3d genesis to help you advance the tether up the tree to prevent any chance of trapping your fingers in case you slip. Otherwise, interesting alternative to a one stick.

@chrisbender9361 By all means. Difference is, I can go up any tree. Climbers are restricted to powerpoles. And it's actually quite stealthy. Oh...and I can shoot 360°. This modern fabric ladder will hold 6,000 lbs of weight. Technology has come a long way. To each their own. I just shot a video to help the world see this innovative new product in action, becuase I'm very impressed. Of course, I'm also a dedicated saddle hunter. I get how seeing this product might not be the best intro to saddle hunting.
