This is part 2 of our Shakedown Trip in our Landcruiser 70 Series camping out and giving our First Impressions of what it’s like to sleep in a Roof Top Tent for the first time as we prepare to travel Australia for big Adventures when we start our Big Top End Trip. We camp out in Conondale National Park in Booloumba Creek Camping Area 1. It’s a fantastic camp area right in the forest and beside a creek. We also explore the National Park taking in some Epic Hikes to some amazing waterfalls. We experience Landcruiser Life and lifestyle , living out of our Landcruiser, using our Norweld canopy to it’s full potential, camp cooking and camp fires.

OMG I absolutely loved this video. Good job on sorting out the sleeping bag situation! Those swimming holes look fab. Can you tell us about brushing your teeth and washing your hair and other stuff when you’re living minimal like that. And washing up the dishes? Where do you get the water from, can you use that swimming hole water for the dishes? And are there lots of Mozzies?

Glad you loved it, yes we used the creek water for washing up and having showers. We use our drinking water for cleaning our teeth, just in case 👍😊

Those beautiful high pitched chiming calls are bellbirds. There are also whip birds in that area. Stunning part of SE Qld. Might see you guys when you head up our way in north Qld. Great video as always. Thanks for sharing

That 1st camp seemed 2 wheel drive able, even though signs were to the contrary?

At the moment the creek crossings are quite low so a 2WD would do it but apparently certain times of the year the water levels are a lot higher. Someone told us that one time they were coming across their Ute started floating…. I think the NP have the sign there to cover them 👍😊
