Oddly enough there were calls for a Leo 1 nerf more than once the past month on Reddit. Tho that situation they were in the same tech tree, and done before it. Tbh the state of the Leo 1 won't affect people getting this or not... Tho the Cent AX on the other hand.

@@Balc0rawhat exactly can they nerf on the Leo, the gun handling isn’t amazing when you are on the move, unless you have all the crew skills and proper equipment, potato’s with bad crews struggle with Leo’s. Leo is a tank for patient people, in my opinion it’s a perfectly okay sniper med. Personally if I had to chose, love me or hate me, I’d take the Centurion AX over the Leo, just because I have basically identical gun, with better on the move performance, with a chance to actually play aggressive with the armor on the turret vs tier 8s being semi reliable.

When I get something, what is really expensive, I ask myself, it it is worht it, if there is really nothing similar to it or if it can keep my enjoyment high. This tank is definitely funny to play for those, who like this sneaky or sniper kind of play, but there are already tanks, which are doing the same thing and are free like Leopard 1 or K91, even Centurion AX, so I will skip it. Still, it is definitely good tank, so for those, who are interested at it, just go for it.

13:30 you are sort of right Skill, WG is basically using the Mk. 3(I) variant of the tank (due to engine and other things) but they decided to not increase the top speed to the 60kph as it does in real life. I’m guessing for balancing reasons as with turbo there is almost no reason to be playing the Leo when compared to this

I also believe the problem is when they are promoting assembly shop. They don’t make the non skinned version cheaper so that way anyone else can get it. It’s just that most players wanted the 3D skin version more than those without it.

During that time I faithfully watched your amazing videos daily and made frequent use of your great index page on tank stats, crew skills and more. The problem with the assembly line tanks is that they're reward tanks. You don't really have any real reason to pick a vicker 3 over a leo 1. It's just a reskinned leo with lesser speed.

This tank could have been epic, but the way WG makes maps for the past 5 years or so, there's no point to having it. Most of the time you won't be able to use this thing's mobility and accuracy, those being its only assets, to carry a game. You'll have some fun on a handful of maps if your team doesn't completely suck and aside from that it's going to be just why bother. If this thing would be up for 15k bonds, I'd let it stay up.

I got the tank and love it. No armor like a Char Futur but OMG this gun, this gun is so accurate even on the move. I've had 7 battles and the stats say I've hit 88% of my shots. A few of the shots was bad aiming on my part. You have to know how to play this kind of tank. I love sniping and this tank IMO is perfect for sniping.

It's just a British Leo with 1.75 aim time vs 1.49 for the Lead, and 268 pen for vickers vs 323 pen with leo (no armor at a distance not considering HEAT, and if you always shoot APCR in your leo like me)

Even if you've converted gold to free xp at a rate of 1 to 45, which if I remember correctly is the best possible deal, it would still cost a bit more than 22000 gold. Converted to real money that's about 70 euros, times 80000 only for the EU server it's 5 600 000 euros!!!!! Just to give a perspective how much wg makes even from one assembly shop that I'm sure will be sold out in 10-15 mins at most. Of course they'll actually make a lot less cause people have way too many resources overall (still the time players spent to obtain those is more precious than money) and even so it's an exuberant amount just for a single pixel tank and a single event

Avg players don't understand why this tank will sell out in a blink of an eye. They think this tank is not that special to begin with. Then let me describe this tank: reliability and flexibility pushed to the maximum. 4k DPM, respectable alpha, insane accuracy, great stabilization, great shell velocity, -10 depression, and the most flexible ammo types (APCR & HEAT & high-pen HE). You simply cannot ask for a more perfect gun in WoT. And this gun is mounted on one of the most nimble platforms in the game. With extremely good ground resistance and hp/t, the tank accelerates and turns almost like a light tank. If it has 70 top speed, it'll be broken. Leo1 can snipe better because of that gold APCR and higher alpha. But this tank is better at everything else.

honestly speaking: this one should be the tier 9 of an "export-mediums" sub-tree. Vickers Mk.1 at tier 8, the Mk. 3 at tier 9 and the Nemesis at tier 10, with a Vijayanta potentially as the tier 8 Premium.

The stock power to weight ratio is better than the Leopard, in other words its acceleration is better. Top speed difference not so important, you are hardly ever in a situation to reach it, I.E. reaching initial position and even then only if that involves a sufficient distance to hit it, a fraction (albeit important) of the game. Acceleration way more important for quick manoeuvring and reposition. And if it's a short sprint to initial position, the better accelerating tank will get there sooner and then be more useful for the rest of the match unless you are in tourist mode roaming across the wide open spaces tralalalala
