I've been watching the White Bullet here on 1320 and as a Subaru driver it is an amazing feeling to see an H pattern flat 4 get into the 7s. Ignorant. Says the guy who’s likely never worked on a sti. it’s just because Subaru’s are gonna cost twice as much to make the same power as evo’s. Also a lot of dumb young people have sti’s and think they can throw anything on it without a tune or forged internals so the engine go’s kaboom, but if i remember correctly evo’s have just as bad if not a worse reputation for blowing up when modified. The ej engines are actually quite good and are one of the few four cylinder engines that just about always make around the same torque as horsepower.

Well, the thing is there is a 7 second EVO out there. Built by eXtreme-tuners and located all the way in Greece, it was the first EVO to brake the 7 second barrier running 7.884sec (298kmh, 185mph) in Malta. Currently holds the world record title for the fastest EVO 7/8/9 in the world.

Always remember that this subaru has a 76 mm turbo and a 6 speed h pattern that he has to shift all the way through. The evo is a straight dog box... hit it next gear. Give the subaru the props... the evo wouldnt be in the 7 with the h pattern...

At the time the video was released there was one and only one EVO in the whole world that was in the 7s but no one seemed to accept it, honestly, the still don't although it's an official world record that now is even lower (7,708sec). The comment was posted to let people know that there was an EVO running 7s at the time. Not to bash that woderful subie.

I am very curious what kind of half shafts and diffs they're running that can take wheel hop like that without breaking. The stock trans has been proven on 1000HP cars before, and drop in a PPG set of straight cut gears with dog engagement and it'll handle this kind of abuse no problem, but the stock half shafts are known to break with wheel hop even on lightly modified cars. No clue what the stock diffs will take.

Weldone to White Bullet. Fastest Subaru used to be the Greek Subaru from Kakarakis with 8.23 but he didn’t race it for last 1,5years cause of too much work load and not great tracks in Greece!!!
