how''s the midi implimentation on the thing? curious if it has velocity per step since the rd-9 aperently doesn't and it would be really cool to be able to use this with something like a roland u-220
@PatchDog3 ай бұрын
I don't think there's any velocity control, obviously it's designed to Trigger (i.e with voltage) therefore no need for velocity there, though you can set it to either +5v (default) or +10v. With the midi side of things I don't see any mention of velocity in the (pre production) manual I have, you can easily map the notes, but there doesn't seem to be an option to program velocity in programming mode that I came across (it's no longer hooked up as I've moved on to the next setup so can't confirm 100% atm.

Thats a dope set up! I had no clue you could put euroracks in those tiered stands 😮 how do you power the eurorack stuff? Is there power in this particular stand? Also just curious, if you get that rs9 can you power it via usb or do you need powered eurorack ? I have a massive lab and no euro rack stuff but a 909 for 150 is crazy, id add it if its possible but if not just get the rd-9. Thank you for your time ahead of time. :)
@PatchDog3 ай бұрын
Hey dude, Just to be clear, the RS-9 is just a sequencer. I wrote the whole setup in the description so you can see what it's triggering there. It requires power, see those thin black modules with 3 green LEDs to the left of the 1st and 2nd case, those are CM1A power modules and power the rack. I built the stand, it's made out of MDF (particle board), drew out a guide and the cut with an Oscillating saw, then I've screwed it into 2x spare Euroracks I have of pre-production synths i'm not using. It would be easy to build your own case for it though, just get a CM1A & RS9 and cut some wood to size.
@djJustJay3 ай бұрын
@@PatchDog ahh i see. Good to know. I know it has a sequencer and you can trigger other stuff with it, but i thought this whole time it was a eurorack 909! Maybe i was wrong. I dont do much eurorack stuff but i have 12 behringer pieces and about 30 pieces of hardward in my lab. Ima have to prolly break down and get the rd-9 but admittedly i was waiting for the linn drum/LM drum first. :) thank you for the info!! 🙏🏻
