I just bought an 87 on Monday. Seller couldn't get it to run. I Got it running today. I'm testing a few things, and changing fluids, and hoping to have it on the water soon!

My uncle had a Bayliner almost identical to that one. Don't remember the year, but I do remember he had the 5 liter V8. It was a very nice boat that ran well for many years.

I’m really happy with the way in performs, I’ve got 21 hrs on it now and running great. We’ve truly put it through its paces and is now deemed a success.:). Thanks for watching.:)

Here in Scotland Bayliners we're cheap in the 80s they quickly became known as binliners because of poor build quality they recovered early 90s and were superb fun boats , enjoy it 😀

Im thinking about buying a 1987 Bayliner Capri almost identical to this one for $200 with yhe trailer. However its got no paperwork with it.lost titles for both boat and trailer.. Wondering how to get around that Here in California.???

You'll have to look up you local county laws and proceed with registering both the trailer and the boat. I'm unfamiliar with US law as I live in Canada. I had papers for my trailer but none for the boat. In the process of getting the boat registered for this Spring. I took a chance and ran it all last summer without being registered. Omg ... I'm getting an 87 one to buy for 1500 Cnd motor lock up, so I mayneed a new one .Is it worth it?

I bought one for $700 Cnd with the trailer and this one for 500. If you can do all your own work it's worth it, where in Canada are you? I have a good block, but head cracked if you're interested?

Lol, the idea has defiantly been considered.:) The perfect engine upgrade would be a VW TDI 1.9 turbo.:) We'll see how the family likes the boat first and go from there.:) The little Ford 2.3 is running great, so will stay in the hull for now.:) For the 4-53T I'd probably have to upgrade to a 25' - 27' or so.:) Lot's of cheap boats to choose from.:) Thanks for watching.:)
