EQs sound great! Can you share how the guitar achieved that distinct distorted tone, and also what was the modulation effect? Sounded so good.

Insane. Can’t wait to get this setup.

Adding +6dB to the processed signal sure makes it "sound" better...
@dirface10 ай бұрын
That's why you back off the output to compensate for the added dB if needed, which you can clearly see in the video...

Is recommendable for mastering or just mixing?
@vintagekingproaudio2 ай бұрын
Most definitely! There's also the new Carnaby HE2, which is a 19" inch rackmount stereo version of the Carnaby 500. Perfect for mixing and mastering.

Such a cool product! It’s a shame it’s not controllable by a plug-in in a daw like bettermaker, Wesaudio or mcdsp apb. If it was I’d buy 8 of them in an instant. Its all digitally controllable already so it seems silly they didn’t incorporate this feature.
@cranborneaudio Жыл бұрын
Digitally controlled is one thing. USB support with 5V digital rails coupling into sensitive audio circuits, running a USB chip (with firmware, drivers, etc), and finally a plugin is quite another. But who knows what the future holds (think Optosync...)
@pyratellamarecordingstudio1062 Жыл бұрын
@@cranborneaudio what about a 3rd module that is Bluetooth to cpu, that sits to the left of these modules that controls them with the opto system already in place? Or Ethernet/Wi-Fi? I’m asking because I love this eq, but I’ve sold all my “standard” analog gear and am using a mcdsp apb8. And after being able to recall everything instantly I can never go back…. And btw I love what you guys have done with the cranborne company

@@pyratellamarecordingstudio1062 I knew nothing about that MCDSP APB8 or 16, but dang it, it is only for Pro Tools.
@Nov.47 Жыл бұрын
@@thaexception3406 That's not true. There are videos by MCDSP themselves showing how to use it in Cubase.

so, basically 4 bands of Harmonics?? Will it work as an Inbound EQ? Lets hear it on a dry tracking vocal....Please
@pyratellamarecordingstudio1062 Жыл бұрын
3 bands. It’s like a normal eq except the frequency gain is done by harmonic saturation. You can turn the input/output up or down to get more or less saturation. At very low input they claim it’s a pretty clean/non saturated eq. Btw what is “inbound eq”? I’ve never heard that term before.
@TheMelodyGod Жыл бұрын
I’m confused are you running them stereo or are you running the stereo bus through one ? Only see you adjusting one of them .
@angeloboltini Жыл бұрын
The 'Optosync' switch stereo links both units.

@@angeloboltini Thanks for clarifying Angelo! Every example that uses Optosync shows a graphic at the start of that section.

For that function we need a cranborne chasis ?
@askomiko Жыл бұрын
No, they sync optically, if they sit next to each other in any rack.
@jasonnicholas4336 Жыл бұрын
Lush; very compelling. I wonder, with their Optosync functionality, if they will openly publish the specification. I would think that one could develop an aftermarket module that would sit to the left of any of the units that could control the setup via MIDI (or that could be something they would just build into the chassis of their 500 series box)? That technology could be used for a number of control features on 500 series modules to integrate them into a DAW workflow or control during performance.
