Like you, "Dice" was my first exposure to The Maids and after about 7 seconds, it was OVER! I knew this was something REALLY good. But, I had no idea how special a find Band-Maid is. And believe me, these ladies are SPECIAL (understatement of the century). Once in a lifetime, man! I'm subbing to watch you go STRAIGHT down The Pigeonhole! 🕊

Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 11th year with the original line up. Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!

"Freedom" ,"Domination" or "Hate?"(this one is pretty hard) you can check out all these songs from the official live videos, they're better than the studio versions but you can't go wrong with this band, all their songs are insanely good too😆

BAND-MAID is an amazing band. Their live videos are superb, but I also enjoy the artistry of their music videos. Their video production team is top notch! Between The Warning and Band Maid Rock is in a very very safe hands. This was the song that got me into Band Maid. I love how they miss the 7 note in the main riff, it is so unexpected and cool, almost no one else does that. There are so many great band maid songs, a ton of which have live versions too, and a handful of Acoustic. If you want heavy I would recommend Blooming.

Thanks for the reaction and comments. These ladies are FIRE!!!!! Arguably the best live rock band on the planet, they have something for everyone. They don't fit neatly into a single genre. Keep listening and you'll soon discover that they are literally their own genre. If you want something a bit heavier, try Shambles (MV), but to truly appreciate their talent try one of their official live videos. Hate?, Play!, Domination, Moratorium, Real Existence are just a few suggestions but you really can't go wrong choosing any one of their songs off their channel. Cheers!

There are few of us that have never said "Where have they been all my life!" Amazing band. The fans are called Maidiacs, and there are a bunch of us that will show up shortly with recommendations, anecdotes, history (no, really, 10+ years and almost 130 great songs behind them) and are a good friendly bunch. This is the start of a great ride for you, and, frankly, I'm a bit jealous. I'll get over it soon though, when the new album drops this summer.

Band-Maid success is due in large part to reaction videos on KZbin. The fans and the band watch them, they encourage reactors to listen to their music (just use the official videos found on their KZbin channel). You will get a lot of likes and subscribes if you continue down the Band-Maid pigeon hole (yes pigeon hole). The band is best live so I recommend any of their official live video releases. If you want to see the band show off a bit, I'd recommend the official music video for From Now On (an instrumental).

BAND-MAID does Anime Songs. You could try 'Shambles' from Krngan Ashura, or 'Unleash' in which they appear in Anime Form. Harder? Yeah, Hard, Soft and everything in between. They can do it all! And, as their April Fool's Day persona, BAND-MAIKO, even Japanese Traditional.

I know you caught the two guitarists later. :) One plays Rhythm and she's the band founder and main lyricist. The other is the Lead who composes all their songs. The Lead guitarist teaches the Rhythm guitarist how to play as she's only been learning and playing for the past 11 years.

Some song suggestions for you are Moratorium, No God, Rinne, Onset, From Now On, Hate, Without Holding Back, About Us, Play, Why Why Why, Endless Story, and both versions (live and video) of Don't You Tell Me. They have a catalog of over one hundred great songs. If you are not fond of one then choose another because it will be much different than the one before it and the next one to follow. Stick with Band Maid live and you can't go wrong. Suggest Domination (live), Daydreaming (live), Hate (live), Play (live), Freedom (live) and Manners with Black Hole (live). Even this song is better live, but everyone gets one shot at as non-live Band Maid song before they realize this band is worth SEEING and hearing them taking the song up a notch on stage.

@@GaryHolloway-810 😆😆😆 They have a huge catalog of music and cross over many genres. They do some great mellow stuff. too. Watch DOMINATION live and you'll see them travel through rock history. Kanami, lead guitar, writes the musical ideas and the rest of the band figure out their parts from that. Watch NO GOD live if you really want to hear the bass go off, watch the online version because the sound is just clearer in my opinion. You will not regret following them.I discovered them at least six years ago and really can't listen to too much else these days. The sound was made for my tastes. By the way, the MVs are excellent but they're even better live.
