There are many many different versions of SOS over the years, in many different countries. He has been singing it for a very long time. He even did a performance for Joe Biden Inauguration ❤

You might need to watch them back to back to hear the differences, but there are differences. He sings through all of the song in this version, the 2021 version, there's a verse where he talks through it. I think the low notes on the 2021 version are lower. I love both versions, i love all versions of SOS, even the 2012 Zas Kanat version. It's definitely not as smooth as it is now.

Apart from his awesome vocal ability, Dimash has amazing stage presence, I hope you'll find time to check out Samaltau, livestreamed from his Beijiing studio to the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2020 ( there's also the 2021 version for his digital concert from his studio in Kazakhstan) ...Oh and there's the live one from the Silk Road closing ceremony in 2019 but he's wearing a suit for that one and it doesn't have the same impact of the others, imo nice reaction btw Roc

The version you heard before is very different from this version. Go back and compare. There are many more differences than just highs and lows. The dynamics, variations in how he produces the notes in different musical genres, etc. These can be similar or vastly different in his various versions. It always amazes me when a reactor states, oh it's just the same which leads me to believe they were listening very superficially.
