The Warning has 4 versions for Enter Sandman: 1. Straight out cover that made them go viral, released 2014. Kirk Hammett tweeted “the drummer kicks maximum ass’ when he saw them. 2. Studio version released on Metallica’s Blacklist album. The OMV is a must to watch. 3. Live version at Teatro Metropolitan with no strings 4. Live version at Pepsi Center with the strings.

This version of ES was done in 2021 for Metallica’s Blacklist album. That album was a tribute to the black album’s 30th anniversary. Canadian singer Alessia Cara was originally asked to do a cover; because she is not a rocker and she and TW have the same management a collab was proposed. Metallica asked that they not do a straight cover. Because Alessia’s name starts with A and ES covers were first on the album, this song was first. There is a music video of this song with Alessia. They still include Alessia doing vocables on a backing tracks. The strings were an idea by TW’s manager, Rudy, and just for this show.

They performed Enter Sandman after Pau sang 2 solo emotional songs Black Holes and Breathe. At the beginning of this video you can see them carrying the piano off the stage.

They did such a great job rearranging this song and making it their own.

I have to admit, I am not a Metallica fan, and I was sick of this song, until this version came along. A lullaby where Dany very sweetly puts you to bed, then rouses the troops, shares a little prayer, the angel chorus comes to sing you to sleep, then Boom, the hammer drops. I think of this very much as the female version of the Sandman tale told as a dark lullaby. So good. Delicate, powerful, soothing, strong, gentle, fierce-all at the same time. I love this one. The strings added a special darkness to it. So good.

They did a fantastic job of breaking it down, rearranging it, recording, mastering and sending it - all in a week, over ZOOM with Alessia Cara because they were in Mexico and she was in Canada and they were all under quarantine. Insane talent.

reimagined *Enter Sandman* : DPA/TW and Alessia Cara certainly understood the assignment! Alessia Cara is a Grammy winning Canadian Pop and R&B singer... they had 10 days to rip this rendition of *Enter Sandman* from the ether and make it a darker, more eerie, and a more haunting lullaby than the original metal version... they made the deadline and they made an OMV for it to boot! this reimagining and performance were done because they, and many other artists from numerous genres, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original _"Black"_ album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the _"Black"_ album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 _"The Metallica Blacklist"_ album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice. in the OMV, Dany (guitar) and Alessia share the lead vocals until they are in the three doorways when Dany takes over and Alessia does more of the background oooohs and aaaahs... the version they play in concert has Dany doing the vocals with a backing track of Alessia's ohhhs and ahhhs... of course Ale (bass) and Pau (drums) join in with their angelic harmonies in both... this is a fantastic reimagining of the iconic original... the performances at their "Big 3" 10th Anniversary shows, in Oct 2023, are astounding with the 10-piece string section from Monterrey, DPA/TW's home town... the string section came out to join Pau on her solo keyboard performance of *Black Holes* and stayed for *Enter Sandman* ... i like their lead-in ES while the stage was being cleared of the piano and other equipment from Pau's solo performance... this 60+ year old rocker loves both versions of Enter Sandman but this one by TW and Alessia gets more airtime these days 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

This song was performed around the midway of the concert. There are a couple of different live versions, Pepsi Center and Teatro CDMX as well as the official video with Alessia Cara. Finally, you can hear the recorded version on Metallica's 30th Anniversary Blacklist Album. It is the first track on the album.

We hope they eventually do a concert with a full orchestra. This was just a string ensemble.

I'd love that. Their own version of S&M.

The most epic version of the reworked version of Enter Sandman that The Warning did for Metallica. With Alessia Cara’s prerecorded background vocals, Lzzy Hale’s Gibson Explorer guitar gifted to Dany and the string section. The Warning have made Enter Sandman their own, just what Metallica told them to do.

First, I'm not the biggest Metallica fan, but when I heard this version, I literally jumped out of my seat !!! This song is on Metallica's tribute album "The Metallica Blacklist", And it's great and all (Alessia Cara is the singer with The Warning), but I love Dany's voice more. Plust, now it has Warning twist on it, and now it's something new entirely. And sorry Not Sorry but, these three sisters just owned these four full grown men !!! ⚡Viva The WARNING⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.

Please continue with the Pepsi Center concert, When I'm Alone, just Dany and her Fender acoustic Guitar. And Black Holes Pau Panio and orchestra. As well as Breathe. All very emotional... they all show different sides of The Warning. Thank You.

A cover is supposed to have the artist's twist otherwise is isn't really a cover. This is a tremendous cover especially with this arrangement and, for me, the best cover of this classic. I'll let TWA tell you the story behind it. It was done because of Metallica's request for a new version.

I think their performance at the Teatro Metropolitan of this version was better. It was rawer and more metal feeling. This version with orchestra just felt restrained and less spontaneous. Sort of like a Rockestra version, which is fine. But I think it loses something with the extra and IMO unnecessary “sweetening.”

Great reaction, In my mind, They definitely made this their own. Please react to Hell You Call A Dream LIVE from the Pepsi Center. An incredible song and Concert...

You fooled us with your thumbnail. That is from the Metropolitan show in 2022. I personally like that version a little better. I do like the strings in the Pepsi version but the Met show was more dramatic especially during the breakdown. Both versions are great.
