First Look: 2024 HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop 14

As a proud Envy owner, I gotta say the Envy series is simply FANTASTIC! Mine is actually a 2020 model (X360 13, Ryzen 4500u processor, 16g ram/512g ssd) and I have had virtually ZERO problems with it. The Ryzen processor runs very cool (it's rare to even hear the cooling fan turn on), it still boots up fast and runs efficient.............it is very reliable and very durable and such a outstanding bargain for the price. I use it for business travel and well as teaching at the arts university I teach at, I use it a lot in tablet mode with the pen and it functions great. When the time does come to replace it, I will simply buy another Envy!

@@jaydinapplegate4275 - Yes, I think it would be fine for the tasks you're talking about. If you plan on doing a lot of drawing you might consider the 16" model - larger screen and more drawing space.........but not as compact or easy to carry around.

@@lawsdaniel - When i first got it in Nov. 2020, I was getting 10-12 hours of battery life overall (work things, internet browsing, watching videos, etc.), these days I get about 7-8 hours. The AMD processor definitely uses less power compared to a Intel processor, and runs much cooler as well. I suppose the current Intel chips are improved, but in 2020 AMD was definitely the better processor in battery life and operating temperature (not to mention better performance).

Spectre is slimmer and lighter and seemingly more premium in build with more speakers as well. But because of its slimness it doesn't have any other ports than USB-C. It's also more expensive, so this is like a slightly more budget version of their 360 model.

@@Gadgets360 I’m using HP Envy 13Convertible 360 with AMD Ryzen 5 series 8/512Gb laptop since Oct 2020… But it’s sad to say that even for importing photos from iPhone consumes hour for simple ~ 50gb; also opening (loading) these photos on laptop is too difficult (waiting to scroll) it’s feel super laggy! Then I purchased refurbished i5 quad core Apple MacBook Pro 13 8/256 and the same task I’m running super fast-- no loading, copy, opening, scrolling of photos faster than … even I’m using all cracked versions of Photoshop, MS office on my MacBook Pro easily! And finally even resale value for my MacBook Pro 13 (2018) model is around 25k compared to HP Envy 13 X360 (Ryzen 4000) 2020 model is around 13k… So brand is brand!
