I tried these at Sherezade in Seoul 2 weeks ago. Just found them confusing I could not find them compelling at the current price. It was difficult to say how these are positioned.Tried the Vision Ears VE 10 at the store and found these more exciting from a tuning perspective. Thanks for your video

When I first try on the Macbeth i was pretty underwhelmed. But I tried it on orchestral song then it truly shines. Simple example try a big different, another day of sun from la la land. Truly incredible presentation. For me Macbeth is a specialized TOTL. Still waiting for fugaku hahaha

The stock cable is so bad tbh but I know why they did it because of the Ambition cable. It’s enough run the IEM

well the cable do cost a whole lot and hopefully it really lifts it up to truly super flagship class considering the price. I do think the macbeth still sounds good though for me. Didnt have the chance to roll my cables as I only had less then 24 hrs to have fun at home.

They have some of the most vocal performance in IEM I've tried. I don't think it asking price is in my comfort zone, I think it is overall it is $2000-2500 USD IEM.

I do think price is a how much you are willing to pay thing. Personnally I did not buy the macbeth and it is not what I want to pay for the sound, but I think those that value it and the craftmanship will be interested hmm.

I have no Idea what you are talking about, I think the APX is the smoothest most perfectly enjoyable IEM I have ever heard. Even when I crank it up high, nothing hurts or is sharp. I have seen nobody else that has reviewed the APX that has said it is harsh. Each to their own, but that is just crazy.

Now if you think it’s smooth that’s great. For me I don’t think it’s smooth and it may just be my ears don’t fit the IEM or I’m more sensitive to treble. Ultimately we just buy what we like and my own honest opinion shouldn’t be any lesser than anyone else.

APX blows Storm in many aspects out of the water technically, I love the tuning but I see some people who crave for more forward mids, its more coloured than Storm too. I heard Macbeth and was underwhelmed its nothing Mentor doesnt do with 5-7% more detail and a bit better bass, which is still nowwhere close to APXSe. Overall APX is on a different level for me then Macbeth which I only demoed at a show though. But if it doesnt work for you fit-wise its a different thing. APX Se Storm and Fugaku is the closest you get with IEMs to summit fi Aperio level right now, MB is not really in the same league.

I am quite suprise that you find APX treble sharp. Are you referring to SE version or OG version? SE is purposefully turned down in treble region. In fact, Macbeth bass is subpar compared to fugaku and apx. Mids for Macbeth is meh. And the only strength is treble. Nvr heard Macbeth with ambition yet but I still feel apx and fugaku rise above Macbeth. Its really not worth owning a Macbeth at current price.

Yah I actually find apx se alittle too edgy for me. My measurements also show a rise in the 10k hz and above range. It’s not sibilance or anything, just too much bite for me . Macbeth bass I do find it having nice punch though. Fugaku is just deep. I think it heavily depends on genra. Mids currently fugaku rein supreme really haha.

Not much reason to blow this money right now on MB if you can get a used APXSe. Just make sure it fits your ear. Or Storm if you want a more neutral but stationary IEM. Both will play in a very different league compared to it.

Both are actually rather hard to get second hand. But I don’t think they are leagues better. Just different really. Though I admit storm I only tried at canjam while the rest I had hours comparing them.
