Well explained video, thanks! Wonderful feature! I didn’t know of this until recently, and before that, I bought a 4K dashcam, but now Ive installed this in my X7 and will be I passing the dash to my hubby’s m760 which is not compatible with the app because it was made in ‘18 :-(

For anyone wondering how to get this: It’s not something dealers tend to advertise but you can login to your Connected Drive account and simply add it to your “Booked services”. It’s can be bought as a subscription or outright for about $400 AUD. So easy, jump in your car, look in the Apps section, it should appear after a few seconds👌 *Note it will only allow you to record if the engine is running.*

Jules Loesch It should be, check out your connected drive account. The only reason I mentioned AUD is because I know how much it’s costs in Australia. Should cost less in the States. Your dealer should have set you up a Connected Drive account when you took delivery. I’m tempted to put together a KZbin video on how to set all of this up as it doesn’t look like one exits.

I`m a fan of BMW but sadly they are idiots and 100years after Tesla. This recorder is so primitive in comparison to much more cheaper standalone recorders.

Probably because unlike Tesla they don't have a battery big enough to keep recording after the engine has been shut down.
