Were you using CarPlay or Android auto to text message? My phone works ok but I cant get test messaging to work. I have an android and want to use text messaging without using android auto....is that possible?

It may or may not be possible depending on the phone. Some Androids don't support the advanced messaging, which may be your issue

I have a 330i m sport 2019-2020 with Idrive7 with side and reverse parking assistant. The two modes do not work correctly. They scrape the wheels on the pavement and the reverse is totally silly. I can hardly get in reverse until the end, it always crashes at the beginning. Tomorrow I'm going to make a movie and send it to BMW technicians to see if the system malfunctions. This video will be posted on youtube.

I have same car, same model, received JAN 2020. Reverse assistance works perfectly, haven't tried side parking assistance yet, I hope will work as good as the reverse. Try upgrade of the s/w or just take it to the garage.
