You have to keep an eye on it though - a couple of turns, and it drifts :)

Based on your flight and ground handling I see this a viable alternative to the Twin Beech. Thanks for this. -Mike

Unbelievable how such a heavy beast stays in the air at 60 kts. Love this plane.
@mro9466 Жыл бұрын
it's not heavy at all. it weighs as much as a King Air C90 while having nearly twice the wing area.

Then you are more than welcome to get to know the majestic AN-2, the worlds biggest, heaviest single engine (non turbo) prop plane. It's such a great STOL plane, it has a Vs0 of only 26 knots!

Thank. You! Loved the flight! Wish there were yokes to control flight and ridder pedals. Her ceiling panel looked different as this must have been a 10 A instrument panel. Hope the 10 E will have 1930s avionics and decore. Thoroughly enjoyed myself hope they will make it genuine 1937 style. Thank you so much! Looking forward to updated 1937 Amelia Earhart avionics. Missed the Bendix radio a nd Remote for Hassleblad on instrument panel under wheel. Thank you captain for a safe trip!

I'm with you. Thinking about purchasing the Model 10 @ aeroplaneheaven. Do you know if the "E" variant with it's extended fuel tanks is delivered with the 10A?
@FlyingCsongor10 ай бұрын
I am pretty sure you know it, just taking a note for the general public: that "playing games" with the magnetos after engine startup is quite important IRL actually. It is done in every magneto equipped prop plane to check if the mags are working properly. Not sure if magneto failure is simulated in MSFS, maybe it's indeed not necessary in the sim since they never fail.
@jonbeckett10 ай бұрын
The more accurately simulated aircraft - such as the Black Square aircraft - have failure simulation - I've had a magneto failure :) And yes - I've never actually walked through checking the drop in RPM when switching magentos to explain it to people - I should probably do that at some point :)

Thx for sharing Jon ! Might consider after finishing MacRobertson Air Race. This would have been an ideal aircraft, but so is PMDG DC-6 as well.

Oh, the DC-6 is a monster :)

I decided to buy it ! Quality seems good, reasonably priced ($50 Australian dollars) bought straight from Aeroplane Heaven

It's right in the middle-ground between the complex aircraft, and the asobo aircraft, isn't it :)

A Splendid Video we do need more twin engine aircraft and less LSA :)

About the updates, I looked at the revision history and they seem to be revisiting it from time to time. They did a few big ones after release, and the last update was Aug ‘22. This had some poor reviews early on and I wasn’t too keen on it, but seeing the devs giving it support since release has tilted me towards getting it.
@jonbeckett2 жыл бұрын
It's ok - I fear it's been overtaken by other aircraft that have come out though, that are more accurate / have more fidelity in the cockpit and systems.
@yams9002 жыл бұрын
Hopefully there’s a functional startup checklist on your Google drive, I’ll check later.

I don't think there is! I'll get to it one day. Maybe I should put out a poll.

Thx Jon ! This would be ideal for the new Mail Run on Virtual Airlines, don't you think. I haven't got this aircraft, need to decide if worth the money and time to learn it

Do you meen the Cessna Model 18 ? I think the Model 18 is more fun - but the sound in the Model 18 is still weirdly quiet.
@altair7001 Жыл бұрын
Considering the quality of the rendering of external surfaces, I'm surprised and disappointed that the tires just barely touch the pavement, with no visible conforming (flattening) at all. This is not realistic!
@jonbeckett Жыл бұрын
I don't think any of the aircraft in the sim simulate tyre deformation. The rotation moment for taildraggers is probably quite difficult to get right too.
@Simulationaviationnz2 жыл бұрын
I can never get past the sounds, they dont change as u move around the d18 is much better imo

I guess you have to remember that the Electra came out quite soon after MSFS was released - so Aeroplane Heaven were learning too.

ok what airplane do you think that Costs less than 60€ is the best for a guy flying a wohle lot a320 and vl3 and Looping for a cool vintage Airliner to just have a bit of fun with. But it should be at least on fbw complexity Level.... and also it should be soll on the marketplace.... is there something or not? thx for the great vid btw

Worth checking out the Boeing 247d by Wing42. The rotary engines are modeled in genuine detail but can be turned off if you want it simpler.

Can it follow an ILS signal or radio beam ?
@jonbeckett2 жыл бұрын
I don't think so.
@nateweter40126 ай бұрын
In real life, yes. I’ll see if there’s an RMI that works for it. These old planes from the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s have old radio magnetic indicators (RMI). The RMI will point to any radio signal it’s tuned to in real life, as long as you have the range and equipment to tune it. A simple automatic direction finder (ADF) signal it will pick up and point towards and would be a primitive but reliable way to get a station/airport direction. I’m not sure if it’s modeled in this addon in the sim, I’ll check it out tomorrow.
