A quick look at the charter arms 357 mag pug revolver. Lightweight concealable, and plenty of power.

I have one of those. Had some issues. Transfer bar broke. Ugly barrel shroud. If it breaks they'll fix it.

I purchased my stainless mag pug 357 about 3 years ago for $360.. I'm extremely happy with it the only thing I find a drawback is the front sight blade is very high you have to put a sight picture the bottom of the front sight where it meets the frame in the window of the rear gutter to hit point of aim.. I Mark the front sight with bright orange paint which really helped but I might consider filing or grinding the front sight down about halfway then the site would line up perfect

I own a Bulldog .44 special and a Pitbull .45 acp. Both are fine revolvers and shoot and conceal carry well. Charter Arms offers some really high quality custom fit holsters at very reasonable prices. I bought one for each of my guns and am very satisfied.

Altamont also makes grips for these.

About 3 and a half pound single action and you were correct 12 double

The porting does help to keep the muzzle rise down somewhat when using magnums... Only criticism is the front sight is way too high.. most mag pug owners file the front sight down approximately halfway and it is perfect
@Conklikov Жыл бұрын
Ya I haven’t went that route yet , because I mainly carry for up close self defense, but I can totally see why someone would file it down
@glenmones713 Жыл бұрын
@@Conklikov yeah I haven't filed down mine yet I just aim with the bottom of the front sight in the rear window.. but I'm considering filing it in the future

They are a decent buy especially in the world of pricy revolvers. And with it’s basic finish it’s easy to carry it without worrying about hurting a polished finish

I just bought 1 from cabelas used for 200$, its 357/38 special. Dessert tan and black very nice gun I like shooting and carrying especially because of the safety feature with the firing pin.

@@monty-9269 Yea it's a charter arms 357 mag pug, the guy said I can shoot 38 special and +p ammo too. Plus it was in the used section at cabelas and in great shape just luck of it being available for purchase that day really..

I've had the Bulldog pug 44 Special years ago, it wasn't a bad gun, but the only problem I had with it was that it sliced up my trigger finger a lot at the frame part of the trigger guard!

Some Emory cloth can help with sharp edges especially if it’s a stainless gun as it is easy to fix finish

Charter Arms offers an excellent product at a great value if your a revolver guy or gal ! Personally, I own several of them, "current models", with very few complaints. Lastly, Made In USA !

Couldn’t agree more, they definitely are not the big name in the business, but are nice revolvers with really a lot of different options for people like 22 , 22mag , 32 hr , 9mm, 40 sw, 45 acp, 38 special, 357 mag, 44 special. So really a lot of options.

I bought the .357 MAG PUG in June of 2020. My local gun shop only had 1 so, I had too act fast. Scored it for $349. I am pleased with it for the most part. As mentioned in the video, fit & finnish could definitely be a little better but, gun functions perfectly anyway. I have 450 rounds through mine without any issues at all. 120 rounds with .357 & 330 rounds in .38 Special. (I did experience some "trigger bite" when firing the .357 rounds at first. I simply just learned to pay attention to my finger placement & problem was solved). I do find my MAG PUG naturally shoots a touch low. Mine has developed a tiny bit of damage on the sides of the front sight due too the porting exhaust. Having great customer service with Charter Arms is a big plus! My local gun dealer says we can ship my gun in through his shop & get things tuned & cleaned up for just the cost of shipping. This makes & keeps me a Charter Arms fan. If you're looking for a very affordable & reliable pocket cannon, I highly recommend it.

Yeah the only drawback is the front sight is too high most mag pug owners file the front site down some .. and it's perfect

They are a pretty good revolver, for some reason charter arms doesn’t get enough credit for the guns they produce. Sure the finish isn’t as nice, but they are made in America and very reliable

If it has a life time warranty why do you need a parts list?
@Conklikov Жыл бұрын
Sometimes you don’t want to send a gun back for an easy fix, also sometimes sending a gun in to be worked on by the manufacturer can take months sometimes longer. Where as buying a part can get shipped in days.

Hmm I did not seem to have that issue. Wonder if you filed the front sight post down a bit if it would correct it for you . I would research it a bit first tho before making a permanent change to the sight
