Nice to see it like this. Normally a great deal busier and, as you say, more room to wander around. It looks fabulous when the dark hits and the lights are on - fairyland with shops! We had our first snow of winter here today and it's 2 degrees celsius as I write.

Tony - thank you again, you've started the season off well. We need to see it in the light as well as when its lit up at night. I think there needs to be more food and fewer shops, there's so much to explore foodwise in that town. LOVELY German stand! It remains my favorite!!

How wonderful! This is what makes Edinburgh a great city. The only thing we have here on Hilton Head is a fire department that decorates its building a la National Lampoon Christmas Vacation. A slow caravan of cars crawl past it to soak it all in. We Americans never get out of our cars 😅

“Ox cheek” takes me back! When I was a kid, 60 years ago, my paternal grandfather was state veterinarian for the state of Michigan in the US. Part of his job was inspecting herds of cattle. At that time (maybe still?) it was illegal in the state to sell any part of the cow that couldn’t be ground for hamburger (“mince”), and cheeks, having lots of tough connective tissue, were off limits. But properly prepared (braised), all that just melted into succulence. My grandfather’s connections made it possible for him to get beef cheeks for us. And now, here we are: cheeks have gone from contraband to haute cuisine!

@@ClanBroonford I'm glad someone else has noticed your recent videos are only available in 480p, i posted about this in your previous video last week but that's still in 480p even though you said you uploaded in 4k and a week has passed. I've just looked back and it appears something happened from your "2 Ignored historical spots in Leith- Edinburgh" video onwards a month ago, they are all only available in up to 480p, the only exception is the "Running the forth road bridge at night" 2 weeks ago that is available in 1080p... strange why the bridge run is 1080p and none of the others are? Also don't think i've ever seen any of your videos in 4k, but i could be mistaken on that.
