I've flown in 207s all over southwestern Alaska and believe me, these aircraft look pristine compared to some of the Yute Air, Grant, Ryan Air, and others I've been in flying out of Bethel, AK. You wouldn't believe how grungy these aircraft can get hauling passengers, mail and freight back and forth to over 50+ rural village airports in the region, all day long. Bethel is a hub in the region, and everything goes in and out of Bethel in order to connect to Anchorage and the rest of the world. I loved this aircraft in P3D and I am thrilled to finally see it again now in MSFS. Also, there are no leather seats in any of these aircraft out here, lol. There is a fleet of 207s in Bethel operated by the air carriers (taxis), and they are vitally important to our way of life. I am so glad to see them finally bring this to MSFS, I have been waiting and I am thrilled to be able to recreate these daily haul routes now. Everyone thinks that Beavers and Otters are the work horses of bush flying, and while they are nice, they are not. the stars of the show. The 207, 208, Cherokee Six, Navaho and even the King Air are the real stars of the bush. Great review Jon, I love your work.

Nice landing. I bounced several landings before I got it right. What puzzles me is when switching fuel from one tank to another - the fuel off is between them and the plane briefly looses gas. I don't know a way around this. Another nice plane by Carenado. Happy Holidays to you, Jon.

Sometimes, Jonathan, you concentrate too much on being a systems controller than a pilot. Nothing wrong in that but the joy of flying a light aircraft is the view and especially flying VFR. I have over 650 hours as a private pilot in both the east and west coasts of Australia, especially in the Kimberley and Pilbara regions.

Thanks--I always thought the 206/207s were cool and it's nice this one's available for MSFS. Just like with the Beech 18, V35B, and others from Carenado/Asobo, et al, it's not quite "study-level" but immersive enough to prompt a buy. The wear-and-tear and steam gauges bring back student days. BtW, @17:28, that's a Directional Gyro or DG. Back when it was easy to tweak panels (in FS9--I loved having that ability), I often swapped those out in favor of HSIs and often added Radio Altimeters as well. Both were "luxury" items for light planes in the 70s before we had GPS. An HSI's particularly useful when (as is the case with this 207), there's only one VOR. Pre-GPS, you needed two for IFR (there's also no DME). Also, in this panel, I'd swap the "six-pack" instruments over one slot, as it's just weird not to have the ADI centered with the yoke.

I do like analog. Downloading now, wish they had included the tablet and a swap to the gtn 750. But that doesnt detract from the plane at all. Carenado have modelling down, just think if they teamed up with blacksquare we would get a monster of a plane. As always great review and walk around.

Good day, first of all great review. I have purchased this aircraft recently, however when I turn on the avionics master, the Garmin 530 turns on immediately, does not take time to load such as in 5:22. In addition, I find the Garmin 530 to be missing many functions which appear to be working in your video and in other aircraft such as the default Cessna 172R. Could you please let me know if there is a way to fix it and get the full Garmin 530 experience? Thanks in advance.

It flys differently as you would hope feels much bigger/heavier, is very stable in flight. I'd say the interior model isnt as good as the 182rg but it's a good enough aircraft.
@DavidR_19210 ай бұрын
182RG is far better because, even though it too has a very high panel, you can at least see over it in cruise! Carenado limited the height in this one, so you can't even adjust it in the MSFS settings to get an actual view out the front.

switch on the fuel pump before swopping over the fuel tanks, usual rule of thumb is take off and land with the fullest tank, swop tanks over every 30 mins... to keep the planes trim... otherwise you get a bank induced by the difference in weight of the fuel tanks...

I ordered the plane and it looks and flies fine. One thing, though : it climbs waaayyy too fast. 1500 ft/mn with almost no speed lost, no real 207 can do this. Seems to climb higher than my PC-6, which is impossible in reality.

This plane is all but unusable. The view is SO low that you cannot see over the glareshield - even in cruise! And worse; Carenado have set a limit to the height, so you can't even go into MSFS settings and increase your height. Even on max height in the settings, you still can't see over the glareshield. They must have modelled it for a 4'5" pilot! Absolute garbage.
