@@rivercityrambler7751 they are good and alot better than the current “original chatterbait” (cheap model). I use the EVO myself but IMO nothing beats the ones from 2007-2012ish. They even made a large version with a big blade and large red eyes back then. It was a killer bait in fall/winter. I also liked the gold/silver heads and hooks.

It definitely doesn't dethrone the jackhammer but its a very good option for alot cheaper.

I fish the ⅜ Evos and the smaller minis when it calls for it. For the cost the Evo is the way to go. They produce. I just pulled a smallmouth yesterday in horrible water conditions here in SW Pa on a white ⅜ Evo with a pearl white shad trailer. If you don't fish these you should. A lot of rain and the river is high & brown. Has been for a bit but I have to scratch that itch so.

A big problem with Chatter is the tail section having little action due to only head having action. Hence, we have to use swimbait trailers. The main issue with chatter is planing up. Not cool....not good for fast/power fishermen or scanning.

The spunk shad is far and away the best chatterbait trailer on the market in my opinion, the action can’t be matched

Inthrow mostly the jackhammer in Bhite Delight in Hot Snakes Diesel minnowZ grabbed a bag of green pumpkin Zman Spikes and what a difference! A lil harder to get the Spike on the Jackhammer but worth the extra 30 seconds and I definitely chop my skirt up a lil. Great review! Tight lines to ya 👍

Not a big fan of the added stability with the molded fins on the head. A chatterbait should be erratic and have some roll it. I don’t like the idea of this making bait run flat and less erratic.

Not sure I agree with this. If the lure rolls then it increases your potentil loss of lure chance as it makes the lure more likely to snag. This is especially problematic in rivers as the flow rates change the debris field on the river bottoms regularly.
