Fyi: the sidechain is triggered by the “step”, not the audio. This means that drum loops will only trigger once, rather than every time the kick hits. But this also means that you can sidechain using no audio, just place steps anywhere you desire. #Dawless #Sidechain #CircuitRhythm

The fake time stretching thing mentioned at 16:00 is key. By slicing you get to slow down or speed up your sample without changing pitch and since you essentially created a drum set you can play the original beat or the new one you created as fast or as slow as you want as a drummer would on a kit.

It's a key feature on every sampler lazy chop or slice
@electrosonicnebula Жыл бұрын
@@leewightman8619yes, it's a drag. Circuit Rhythm should be more expensive and have time stretching, finer "unquantized" mode, and polyphony. And they should make a 16 tracks supercircuit that does everything the Circuits do and that's a proper rompler too, like Spltrk. I don't care if I have to pay double the price. For Spltrk you have to be into making music on a freakin gameboy. Worse than PC

i've already preordered mine direct from Novation. A screeneless, menuless sampler with the Circuit workflow has been top of my gear-wishlist for a long while. My only gripe is that you have to load samples via their proprietary Components webware and put them into proprietary "packs." Other than that, pretty much spot on.
@bbailey06253 жыл бұрын
you dont have to use component software to get samples on the machine, the unit as analog inputs and you can sample directly into the machine.

Hey there, I got the circuit rhythm a couple of months ago but wasnt able to do anything with it because of work. now that i have some free time i'm able to mess around a little with this piece of gear. for now I just want to use this for triggering party noise samples. say i load up 8 party noise samples into the rhythm and i take it to a gig will it let me trigger 2 samples at same time?

You can flip between various different scales on the Circuit Tracks but the Circuit Rhythm is just chromatic
@GeorgeL9093 жыл бұрын
@@PodOfHeat for what it's worth, I've since gotten one and noticed that the lack of scales really wasn't missed much. It's actually very playable and easy because the chromatic playback is mapped like a piano, (as opposed to the model samples/ cycles) it's very easy to play any scale, and potentially transpose using the shift+pitch knob or the double octave option.

Hi Andertons. What's the cheapest/simplest way to get a mic-level signal (a microphone) hooked up to the line-level inputs on the Circuit Rhythm? I'm looking for a battery-operated/handheld solution in order to sample outdoors. Does Anderton's sell a cheap battery-powered mixer or battery-powered microphone preamp that can convert mic to line level? The best/chepest answer I've been able to find on my own is the Behringer Xenyx 1002b battery-powered mixer (£85 I think). Any ideas?
@EvilPilli2 жыл бұрын
The Rhythm has enough power to get a decent signal through a dynamic microphone. Something like an sm57. I've been using my very shitty Shure PG48 when on the go. And it works like a charm. You would need a XLR to jack cable though.

Pretty excited about this. Been considering something like an RC-505 or even a Tracker... I feel that this box falls somewhere between these 2 things and comes in with a lower price tag at the same time. I put off getting the original Circuit because I already had/have a pletora of synths drum machines and effects at my disposal and thought getting an "all-in-one" box would be counter productive. But with THIS I can sample all of these in and then use it to get even more creative? WOW. Hopefully it doesn't take months to actually get one...

I needed to know if you can change where it splices? Cutting it into 16= parts seems a little irrelevant unless it’s a perfectly quantised sample.
@GeorgeL9093 жыл бұрын
You can adjust the start and end time of each slice, so you can select where the slices are, but you sort of have to go by ear, because you can't see the waveform, only a rudimentary representation of the sample position using the pad lighting. It probably works, but you have to find the slice points by ear 🌽
