The Veleno commission started life as a 2004 Dodge Viper SRT10 Roadster. The idea was to create a 1960’s aesthetic design paying homage to the Ferrari 275GTB, Bitzarrini AC3 and Aston Martin DB4 while retaining modern underpinnings .Bolt-on Modifications have been made in the form of Coil Over suspension, custom headers and exhaust treatment along with a fully polished intake and valve covers. Further extensive modifications took place to the tub to accommodate the new coachwork transforming the convertible to a coupe. Next up we will finish out the body clean up, interior and wiring. Stay tuned for more updates as we complete this project.

I've always had a thing for tall side cars with small windows and this one... ticks all the boxes. What a beauty! You've outdone yourself. It's got so many stylistic cues all great and packed inside in one fresh package. Coach built still is the last word in beautiful cars.

Bristol, Aston, tvr all rolled up. I like how the wheel arches flow into the vents behind the wheel. A bit out of place for such an embellishment but nicely done none the less. It's beautiful.

@ I dig that! I know all about it man, Organic engagement and real people. After my Instagram blew up I lost interest from the amount of spam and lack of organic interactions. Sometimes less is more. Started focusing on social media and lost touch with my art. Now I’m away from it all, in a new shop and hand forming patch panels instead of making content. Starting to feel like myself again 💪🏻 On a side note, are there any good for sale groups on metal forming tools? I prefer older beefier stuff. I think I’m ready for my first English wheel

Aston Martin, Shelby Daytona and a dash of De Tomaso Pantera. Not sure yet if the transfer from a wide-body to a cam-back is entirely reconciled, but you gotta love Runge for doing this type of thing so beautifully 👌🏻

Absolutely beautiful! If there is anything at all that I personally would have a closer look at it’s the front part, looking from top down it looks a bit square and cut off, a slightly more rounded/pointy shape could possibly look better, and maybe more curves over the front wheels. But maybe I am shaping it onto a classic Ferrari with my mind 😄 as it is it definitely has it’s very own looks which is a good thing. It’s a great work of art in any case.

OK!!! Finally, so excited to see you doing a project like this!!! So for us amateurs, the easiest entry would be to try and build a custom body for an existing chassis. Is there another video you could do of how much you had to trim off the original Viper body? Or just in general how you did it? I've always wanted to do exactly this!!
@booshkoosh7994

Thank you so much for the videos! You've been a great inspiration for several years; and this year looks to be off to a good start! I'm turning 15 years old in march, and have studied cars from ever nut and bolt! I know of ever part, but I don't know the dimensions and standard measurements between them. I would love to build and design a car of my own; but I can't find the resources. Is there a book, car, or website that I could visit to learn about these dimensions? I thinks it's the coolest thing in the world to be able to design these cars; and you do so perfectly! As a fan of old cars, I can safely say that you are the only working manufacturer that truly carries the spirit of the good-old-days without copying or mimicking anything! Thank you so much!

It would be nice to see the work that went into this, did you film the progress?, will there be videos to watch on this build?, looks beautiful, hint of Aston Martin :)
2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I did not film much of the 4,130 hours I have into this build over the past 4 years. The effort it takes to truly and properly document a build is massive. I want to do it, but I have had to choose where to put my energy the past few years to get caught up. The good news is, I have a couple builds coming up that we plan to fully document for the channel. Thanks for hanging in there and watching🙏🏻

Now we know where disappeared to . Nice design the only area I would change is roof area above the door glass is to flat and and square looks more like a sedan roofline rather than a coupe. I feel the shield also needs more curve or radius at the top to give the whole design a more vintage race car feel.
