@@OldCurmudgeon3DP I was actually trying to figure out just who this printer is for. Anyone getting into this hobby isn't going to drop $3,500 to test it out. There's lower cost printers that do the same for a very small fraction of this cost. Sure its nicer looking and is its own enclosure but you can accomplish the same under $500. With the extra $3000 saved you can buy all the filament currently available. You'd then need a room to store it in which might be a issue.

One of the things that's holding me back to buy one right now is the fact that in this price range, I would expect a build plate that's only moving in the Z direction (and have the XY plane at fixed height).
@b5a5m54 жыл бұрын
Raft recommendation for mirror print is most likely because they probably disable mesh leveling since both extruders are always at the same height and thus can't compensate for the bed leveling for different parts of the bed simultaneously. What would be a great feature is if the prints print independently until they reach their "feather" height where both prints should now be at the same height and then both print at the same time from there on out.

I am glad you had success with this printer. I bought one and have yet to have a single successful print, after about 50 tries and running the on-screen calibration process about 15 times. It is just JUNK in my opinion. I an not a printer novice. In fact, this is my sixth printer and the worst, by far. I think that sometimes engineers and marketers try to 'improve' and automate what really does not need to be changed. I have a Pro2 Plus and it has never had a single print fail, whether with TPU, ASA, PLA or PETG. Because I make a lot of little parts for motorcycles and outdoor equipment, I thought the IDEX would save me some time. No. This system has only caused me frustration and massive time and money loss. I just wanted to comment on this since I feel a lot of your viewers base their choices on your excellent results. Your reviews are awesome. Your content and variety great. Thank you.

@@damo2142 you miss the point of these types of printers. Of course you can diy something as good or better for less. That's true of most things.
