You know Harv, nobody in the saw community really show the machining aspect of the builds. For us guys that do have machine shop equipment, I for one would enjoy a machining series. Scott Kunz is the only guy that I have seen that goes in depth on cutting the squish bands using mandrels with a piece of high speed steel mounted in the top. Very interesting to me at least. Anyway, that's just my two cents on the matter. Can't wait until your builds start up again. Take care buddy, and stay cool!

Iron horse now that's some serious interesting stuff. Years ago I had my Husqvarna 394 I absolutely loved that's all and have always missed it dearly. I got a chance the other day to buy a 395xp that has spent its time in the bush around these parts making money. So I got the saw reasonable it needs a new coil and the muffler is cracked and of course has normal there some vents broke out of recoil cover but she's in good shape for her age. I have always wondered if a 1200 crank would go in that case so thank you.

Hi Ironhorse I did research on putting a 390 crank in a 372. You might have to press it apart and cut the inside of crankshaft then when you press the crank pin back on the crank end the clutch side will be shortened so everything will fit right. let me know how it works.

I had problems with that titanikel flaking when I tried grinding. It was such a good looking cylinder, but idk if I can continue porting them. It was a pain. That coating was just too hard, chasing flakes all over the place

Talk abt machine clutch side down . What abt splitting crank and using 372 on clutch side. Unless your going for bigger bearing. That or is rod pin same on lower? If so put long rod on 372 crank lower.

How you doing Harv? You look like you’re losing weight 👍🏻👍🏻. Question: I’ve got a farmertec 372xp. It runs flawlessly, but I want to get an oem carb just in case. Can I run an x-torq carb on that saw? Is there any benefit to running an x-torq carb? Or should I just get an xp carb? Thanks Harv!
@theironhorse66003 жыл бұрын
Use an oem carb! An xtorque carb is great for saws with increased compression an a lot of port work!
