Guys this is one fast laser engraver that would be great for a side hustle. Get it here bit.ly/3KvVMfL its available with several accessories. The most stand out to me is the air purifier, the second is the form factor. Its small easy to carry and has a very large engraving area. It also supports rotary for engraving cups. I will have some shorts coming that will showcase other features.

It looks amazing and I think it would help us out SO MUCH. Our D1 is fab but it is too slow. We can’t output enough to make money really - but every thing we do is mega detailed so a CO2 is unlikely to work for us (and costs wayyyy too much anyway). our main product is engraved enamel mugs so cover is essential - as we also work in the house. But I can’t see there is anyway to have an enclosure around the rotary??!!! Also, do you know if the existing smoke purifier works with the F1?
@ebpman Жыл бұрын
Sorry was traveling. So the rotary on this one for sure requires the cover to be open, I have the xtool larger smoke eater and yes it will work but it will not turn on automatically as this one does as it plugged into the product via usb. The XTool larger smoke eater is on or off and the power setting is via the dial. But you can get away with the other one for sure just need the right adapter. I agree the speed on this thing is crazy. My wafe does alot of slates. Different materials and she was omg. Mine! This will make things so much faster for engrave on demand. Now the smoke eater has two setting low and high. I run it on high. That helps with the oder. But with the cover open you will get some smell but not bad compared to other items. It also depends on brand of cup and powder ovating or enamel.

How is the size of the letters & pictures determined before you engrave? Would I determine it on the computer? Could I use other designs found on the internet?
@ebpman Жыл бұрын
In the software you can size things just like PowerPoint I can engrave a slate coaster 4x4
@ebpman Жыл бұрын
It can use any font on your pc. It can also import svg

Thank you for responding. When I had a cricket, Canva & PowerPoint, I struggled with determining the font size. It’s been frustrating. You & others make it look easy & it’s amazing! I think I might be missing something. Do you have any suggestions on how I can learn how to determine font sizes? Thank you for any suggestions you may have for me. Have a great day!

@@gizmosworld5855 before you engrave you can have a trace of your project or you can have a square outline. This really helps with project sizing. It's super easy

Hmm… any drawbacks? Or is it all rosy? Was this unit given to you by the company, or did you buy it? Maybe I missed the disclosure of that… When I don't see anything remotely critical and a link to buy the product pinned at the top, it just makes me think of an infomercial.
@ebpman Жыл бұрын
The product is beta still and this is a first look. They are now shipping production units. You will find in my description that it was provided to me. As far as drawbacks go, none really. Lots of products on the market this one works as advertised. We use it every day for our engraving side hustle. My wife finds it easier than any of the lasers she uses because of the XTool software and speed. She can engrave a coaster in 60 seconds. While we also use lightburn but it can have a longer learning curve. Bottom line for me, it would not be on my channel if it didn't work. Been doing this too long. Lol. I have a dozen or more diod lasers and 4 galvo, this one in beta form outperformed them all. It's a solid buy

Does anyone know if the RA2pro rotary attachment can support a cremation urn? or would an urn be too large for this?
@ebpman Жыл бұрын
Depends on size really. But I have made pretty large engraves with no rotary

Great tutorial! Does it cut wood or just engraving?
@zero00044 Жыл бұрын
Most likely just engraving. Galvo lasers aren't really great for cutting and the IR laser wont work on wood or any organic material. You want a gantry system laser for that. 50 watt co2 laser is the best to start with. Remember, 10 watts for every 1mm you want to cut. I've seen a demo of the diode part cutting solid black acrylic, but I don't know how effective it would be on wood.
@ebpman Жыл бұрын
It does cut wood. It's a dual laser blue and ir. Sorry for the late reply was out on holiday

xTool F1 Laser is pricey for little one
@ebpman Жыл бұрын
It's a bit for sure. If this is for business you need to figure out what the roi would be. The speed of the laser for objects this size make this a easy buy for us. But their are other products on the market in this space like fiber Engravers that run abit higher. We do slates, wallets, and items that are 4x4 often. They are coming out with a material mover slider of sort that makes this crazy good too
@basook6116 Жыл бұрын
@@ebpman I have xtool D1. I would buy xTool F1 IF price is cut to 75%.
@ebpman Жыл бұрын
@@basook6116 I hear you. Expensive for sure. Again goes back to your purpose. If I can run a craft show and engrave a wood / marble slate in 60 seconds and can charge on Avery 40 dollars a set. None discount price is 13 dollars to 15 dollars a coaster and it take 4 min to do 4. This is a game changer for me to turn over $$. Vs a d1 or another laser.
@basook6116 Жыл бұрын
@@ebpman you made good point, but selling it for higher than D1 product, just because its faster for hobbyist, than this put xtool F1 do have limitations in terms of price. if you look at Apple products, its good items, but its pricey, and difficult to fix VS regular windows PC, thus most of people buys PC VS Apple. economically, its better for XTOOL to lower the price of this product, so many people can afford it
@ebpman Жыл бұрын
@@basook6116 so true. You hit it right on the nose. Android guy here because of value and flexibility. BTW, I do have a apple products but not my first choice. No offense to any one. But they are expensive. As a hobby this could not be justified. My wife and I spoke about this and did the math and found that we can pay this off at a 3rd to a 1/4 of the time as the d1 or other Engravers based on our time and machine time. For niche products like jewelry it's a solid buy. We do alot in the real estate space. We need fast turn around and don't want to spend our day watching a machine. We will see how much we can turn over this mothers day. Thanks for the comments keep around let me see if we can get to the size where we can do giveaways or big discounts fingers cross
