Sure is spacious. Can't wait to see what adventures you've got in store.

It is CRAZY big inside! Dimensions are only a foot wider than our 9-person but it feels huge comparatively.

I believe these are pretty new. I have not seen many videos on them. I'm definitely interested in this one because of the full rain fly. Thanks for the video.

We’ve had the 9 person quick setup for maybe 3 years? It’s been pretty good to us and we’ve been hard on it. The 10 person full fly is brand new far as we can tell. We’ll give it the first real test i. a couple weeks!

There's about 160 reviews total on these on various websites but this video is probably 100% the best. This tent is worth the money if you take care of it.

Thank you for your DETAILED video, and how you covered every little item, and not skipping over any and every detail, the instructions were a little vague (for me) lol , but watching your video, I understand everything I need to do NOW. Thank you so much. And I think CORE should give you a little sumthin for your demonstration. Happy Camping :)

What a nice massive tent in a smaller package.

It’s amazing how small it packs down and how relatively easy the setup is for its size.

Im so happy someone has video out on this and thank you so much for the review. Im definitely getting this. I love CORE tents, I have the 11 person tent with the screen porch. It's such a nice tent but unfortunately takes a while to set up and needs multiple people. I am so psyched about the full rainfly!!

You bet! Yeah it must have been brand new when we bought it because no one had any information on it. After this video we took it camping in the Uinta Mountains and had the heaviest downpour I’ve ever seen camping - three times. We had a 3” deep river running under our tent… it felt like walking on a water bed. After an hour of the monsoon there were a couple drips from the ceiling, and a little moisture started sweeping through where we were stepping but it stayed really dry. I was very impressed, I wouldn’t have expected any tent to hold up to that kind of rain. Any other tent I’ve owned would have been flooded. The full fly was key.

Thank you for the video. Now that you have used a Core 10-person wall tent, would this be a tent you would recommend for long-term camping in an area where it rains a lot?
@TheNorthwoodsFamily6 ай бұрын
Yes, absolutely. You should watch these videos of it in action: Part 1 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZicdXZ3nJeYiKMsi=0UtdVEYClqLhyhGW Part 2 (this is the heaviest rain I can remember in my 40 years of camping) kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5aciGaKi96ah68si=wTDZ7SxWr20vXi4K

Great looking tent. I have done a ton of research looking for a good tent. I have decided against canvas due to a lot of rain where I live and can't imagine the nightmare of trying to dry it after camping. This tent might just fit the bill. Question: Did I see where it does come with the footprint? With full fly coverage one might be able to get 4 seasons out of it here in the south...using an 8k diesel parking heater.
@TheNorthwoodsFamily Жыл бұрын
It does. It doesn’t come with a foot print (I don’t think it did at least), it came with a removable divider we don’t use. You’d have to use a tarp or something. If you watch our upcoming Utah trip videos (and our latest video we uploaded has a sneak peek too), you’ll see how it fared in some incredibly heavy rain. It did pretty good.

Been looking at the Core 9/10p tents for me, my wife, 8yo, and maybe dog. I skimmed through your other two videos, never knew the UTVs could be used like this. Pretty cool! I am wanting to get back into camping to get my kiddo into the outdoors & to get to dark skies as I am into astronomy. Though plan on doing car camping. Currently waffleing between the 9p rainfly instant version and a 10p instant w/ canopy at Costco. Don't know if we would be as hard core as you guys as rain isn't compatible with clear skies, though the rain fly might be better for just in case. How is the ventilation vs. your old 10p?
@TheNorthwoodsFamily3 ай бұрын
Sorry for the slow reply. Ventilation is still excellent - comparable when you roll up the doors on the fly. We also go this one because we thought it might keep us a tad warmer… so actually because we could close it up and have less ventilation. If you’re not overly concerned with rain, we did really like our 9p instant too.
@waterant7691Ай бұрын
On the Core tent with a full rain fly, can the windows be kept rolled up during light rain, or do they need to be closed? I'm concerned about ventilation on a warm, rainy day, as I don't want the entire tent covered up.
@TheNorthwoodsFamilyАй бұрын
You can have the inner windows open with the full rain fly. If the rain isn’t too crazy you could unzip the rain fly a bit too for ventilation. I don’t think it would be bad on a warm, rainy day - at least not worse than any other tent.

How did the setup time and ease compare to the instant one? Do both need two people? Trying to decide which one would work for a family of five. On one hand, we like the convenience of the instant one for when we go on long road trips and want to set up in multiple campgrounds along the way. On the flip side, we like the extra floor space of the 14x10 and the more compact pack. We’re getting one with a full rainfly that’s for sure.
@TheNorthwoodsFamily Жыл бұрын
The instant one is quite a bit quicker and easier with one person. I’ve done the 10 person alone, and I can do it…. but I’d MUCH rather have a second person. It’s not impossible to do solo but it’s not fun and I’m pretty tall too. The instant one realistically takes 5 minutes including staking everything down. The new one takes probably 15. The floor space difference is considerable…. It’s amazing how much roomier that extra foot of width gets you. We’re using camp cots and a fourth cot would start getting tight in the 9 person instant. We’ll still have ample room adding a fourth cot in the 10 person and I’m sure you could add a fifth. I think tonight will be our fourth night in the ten person. We like it so far and are happy with it. Again, the size difference standing in one versus the other is substantial.

Thanks for this video! Almost no info about these, despite being out for a while. Seriously considering this one or the 6 person which is about three feet shorter. Already have a 13x9 cheap tent and have had a couple of instances of it not fitting well in a site. Curious if the tent is still hilding up well.
@TheNorthwoodsFamily5 ай бұрын
Glad I could help! If you click on our videos… check out the overlanding trip we did recently in Utah / Uinta Mountains. We hit some crazy rain! The tent has held up well, though unfortunately I just found out where we stored it over the winter had mice… and they chewed a nice hole in it 😢 no fault of the tent of course…

I have the Ozark trail 10 person dark room tent. It's too dark and the dark coating on the inside feels too much like a dark garbage bag. I love the privacy it provides but it's just too dark and not well executed for blackout material they used. Should of just made it a black tent because the black out coating is a no no! I think this tent with the full rainfly is perfect for what I need it for .it's dark enough without it being too dark. Because this a full coverage rainfly does it make it also make it a bit cooler ? I always pitch a tarp on top of my tents for extra protection and it works wonders for making it cooler when that sun is blaring. So hopefully that full rainfly along with pitching a tarp on top makes even more cooler. Thanks for the video it's the only one of it's kind and helped me on my decision to purchase the 6 person version of this tent.
@TheNorthwoodsFamily Жыл бұрын
Interesting concept - never seen a blackout tent like that hard to say if the full fly makes it cooler. Anecdotally I’d say it may keep the temp down a little bit in the morning, but after a while of course it seems to trap heat so you have to open it up anyway.

I'm very interested in this tent. Any thoughts on ventilation? Just a little worried about it getting stuffy in warmer weather since there are no floor vents and vents in the fly.
@TheNorthwoodsFamily5 ай бұрын
You can zip all of the door and window flaps completely up on the fly. Ventilation is very good… and you can always go no fly too if you don’t think it will rain. If you click on our videos tab… watch the two we did recently in Utah, we put it to the test and it worked great.

It's hard to tell in the video... is the flooring a tarp material or the same as the rest of the tent? The info online says polyethylene, but I wasn't sure if that's the drop cloth or the actual tent floor.
@TheNorthwoodsFamily8 ай бұрын
Sorry for the slow reply. It is a much more durable material. It is woven and then treated, much like a heavy duty tarp. We’ve been impressed how well the floors hold up, we are tough on them.
@sherriirrehs83778 ай бұрын
@TheNorthwoodsFamily No worries. Oh ok, perfect. We've had a tent that the floor was the same material as the rest of the tent and came with a tarp like drop cloth. Moisture would leaked up a bit, and then it rained for two days and the floor was ridiculously wet! Thankfully we put the kids old Puzzle mats under our air mattress and between the air mattress, where we walk/stand to get dressed so our sleeping bags didn't end up wet! Now we only buy tents with the polyethylene (tarp material) floor, but it's been difficult to find one that also has a full fly🙃

How does it hold up in the rain?
@TheNorthwoodsFamily Жыл бұрын
Funny you should ask…. It started raining as we finished setting it up and poured overnight. Got windy the next day… not a drop in it. Our 9 person instant tent saw lots of rain and always stayed dry.
