I can see going to this and letting the TS-9 go. I really like this pedal. And I used to live in Akron in the 60's and early 70's (Go Vikings!) Really good demo, John.

Not so fast. I've tried two "boutique" TS circuit based pedals (including this one) thinking this is gonna kick my ts9 right off the board. It wasn't to be though, the trusty ts9 is still in there on the board. Anyway it's been 3 years. Did you ever get one??

This reminds me somewhat of my all time favorite OD pedal, the Tone Monk Seed of Life (no longer made). I love having more gain on hand, as here, but still not losing the OD characteristics. The only EQD pedal I own now is the Afterneath which is excellent. I'm still looking for a back up to my Tone Monk Seed of Life and the Plumes just be the ticket. Cool!

Thank you John for this demo. Earthquaker should thank you too. All the demos they put out had this thing sounding like a pulverizer making amps sound like they had been run over by a truck with nothing but flubbery goo belching out. You actually make this sound like a nice pedal! Now to go make a purchase.

This pedal reminds me of the fabulous Chellee Odie and Odie Classic. Same middle setting and one outer setting from each. Same great tone control. Same mix of 808 and transparency. What’s that saying about imitation... 🤔

People copy classics like an 808 because they think they can either sell a lot of them for less, to people who can't/don't want to pay for the original, or if they think they can charge more, and convince people it's better than an old, 70s-designed standard. If you say a pedal is 'like' an 808, you're going to get the attentions of a million people who either have a TS or want one or think they should have one. If you say your new pedal is some other amalgam of random and specious adjectives, no one will know what it's supposed to be, and few will bother to figure it out for themselves. // Gotta love how Bollinger is one of the major names in gear-a guy who has interviewed major players and manufacturers-and he's still just a guy kneeling on the floor, fiddling with tiny knobs. Just like the rest of us. I really wonder if he has ever had a 'bad day.' Awesome.

9 volt adapters are cheap, and if you're going to be using pedals you might as well invest.Or just get it over with, and buy a used iso brick.Batteries are a waste of time.

Gibson should have stuck with the fretboard on that prototype. I guess they were going for the spanky tone on the final released version but God Awful ugly. And they were trying to appeal to the Nashville guitarists. I've got an ESP/Edwards Jeff Beck Tele that I'm thinking of having a Bender put in. Want b & g but I love yours man. I'm sure you get tons of compliments

This is my first pedal what kind of plug do you recommend using with it I just assumed it came with a plug now I have a pedal that I can't use because I don't have a plug

Dunno if you've figured it out yet but you need 9 volt center negative power supply. The Truetone 1 SPOT is cheap and good enough for a few pedals. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/1Spot9v--truetone-1-spot-slim-9v-dc-adapter
