First Look - Fender Ultra II Strat & Tele

I like the middle pickup by itself when playing with vocals and keys. It pokes out just enough to sit nicely in the mix.

I love Strat middle pickup. I typically use positions 3, 4, and 5 exclusively.

That Texas Tea color is sweet, and I always love a belly cut on a Tele. As for the Strat middle pickup, I like if for clean rhythm; it sit back a bit compared to the other pickups. And I like the middle pickup with distortion pedals, particularly Rats and Muffs, though of course the neck pup and the Big Muff are perfection together.

Middle pickup, is great for Rhythm when you roll the volume back a few notches. Great rhythm / blues slight distortion.

I bought a canary yellow Chinese strat style guitar from a canadian company on ebay. Groove guitars. $215 bucks including delivery. Swaped out the pickups for quick connect epiphones. Add in another 60 bucks. New pick guard 30 bucks. Came with a fresh settup. Fantastic guitar. Out of all my guitars i play that and my $4,000 les paul the most. Given that most guitar purchasers are not return customers; Fenders, like gibsons, way over priced. I have a squier strat, as well as a gibson explorer. Few other guitars as well, but that 215 bucks... well spent. I mean yeah theres a little difference in total sound quality, but its not a $2,000+ difference. I mean its just an electric string twanger, after all.

No, only the Ultra Luxe line has stainless steel frets.

It doesn't matter to me how nice modern fenders look at play, I just know it's probably 5 or more pieces of wood under there.
