Have you thought about having a nice long big old farmhouse kitchen table in the kitchen instead of an island? Or at least have casters on the island so you are freed up to move it out of the way for dinging with family and friends. I just think a well used marked table over the years holds so many memories you can look back on. Only a thought. Love your house and all the different shapes of the rooms , makes it so much more characterful and interesting. ❤
