I’ve had one in my high trail with portals and 70mm tires and I love it. Had it in for a month or so now.

Nice video and the most beautiful bronco Trx4m I have seen!

I just bought one and installed it with my furitek cedar and absolutely love it. It's bonkers in high gear on 2s and 3s is just obscene. Absolutely perfect blend between the stock and crawl gears for the low gear. In fact I wish traxxas offered the 32.7:1 ratio as a gearset on it's own. Unfortunately my bronco is uber scale with an interior so it's a no go as it's way too tall compared to the stock transmission. I also tried to put the 2 speed in my injora tarantula to no avail- unless you basically reconstruct an entire front end the shift lever gets in the way of the front hood and suspension. It's probably a no go for the Meus Ripper as well.

Thx, helpful, because of the needed Place when not stock

Hi, schönes Video. Was sind das für Felgen auf dem TRX4m Bronco?

Thank you! They are the Traxxas Method Beadlocks (plastic).

I wonder how it performs with the Injora motor. I’m probably gonna get one but I imagine even with the high gear ratio the 87t is still not as fast as the 48t. At least that’s how the motors felt to me
@rcnewb5 ай бұрын
That's what I'm wondering as well. I'm going to keep the Titan in it for a few test drives but I think an Injora 180 Pro will find its way into that transmission sooner or later. Maybe my High Trail won't be the beneficiary of a motor upgrade after all. :)

48 will be faster with less torque, and the opposite with the 87. Honestly if the high speed w 87 is good enough you’re better off keeping it in
@shawnserediak67835 ай бұрын
The 48 is by far more powerful. Torque is improved as well. Best upgrade I did. WAY BETTER in everyway
@The_RC_Guru5 ай бұрын
@@shawnserediak6783 nah. You just aren’t experienced with brushed motors or have confirmation bias or can’t understand the concept of how brushed motors work. That’s all.

What is the trick to bind to the mt12. I’m having trouble binding mine.
@rcnewb4 ай бұрын
I found a Reddit post that had some useful steps regarding binding the MT12 with the Traxxas receiver: www.reddit.com/r/TRX4M/s/E6QUQ9a0tN

How do you install the high speed gears onto the 2 speed
@rcnewb5 ай бұрын
Based on what I’ve seen, you can open the transmission case and swap out the standard “normal” gears.
@dallasdelano82355 ай бұрын
@@rcnewb yes I did it, it’s not hard to do. It’s good but not that much power only top speed
@The_RC_Guru5 ай бұрын
Sounds a little crunchy
@rcnewb5 ай бұрын
It’s noisier than the stock transmission (or any other single speed), but I think that’s due to the additional gears and more moving parts. Mesh seems to be set correctly.

I kinda want this

I've gone the cheaper way, just ordered the low gear set and leave it like that, can't afford to pay a midget to change the gears for me
@rcnewb8 күн бұрын
Lower gearing is a good approach too. I’m running that in another TRX-4M and like how it performs.
@Cormano9808 күн бұрын
@rcnewb yeah definitely, I'm not gonna go overboard with upgrades for this project, I've got it for park fun and ease of carrying around, mostly I do tanks and amphibious vehicles which are a pain to lugg around
