Are those outputs for different monitor mixes or are they outputs that allows each individual instrument to come out and into an analog mixer? No one EVER mentions this and it's frustrating.

Thanks fot the review. I really feal the preamps are top notch. And for me, the "PRE A/D CONVERTER" limiter is a big deal. I'm gonna get myself an 8m (and another beer).

I'm super confused about the 1248... 12 inputs... There are 4 mic in's, 8 analog in's, 2 guitar ins.. Im assuming the front guitar in's take priority over the back 1 and 2 inputs then. If all 12 can be used at once then this doesnt make sense. Why are there overlapping input numbers? There are only 6 gain knobs on the front of the device. XLR is 1-4, and back analogs are 1-8, and guitar in's on the front are 1-2? This is confusing !!

Please note that this device has been discontinued for several years. The 48-channel digital mixer can mix physical inputs on the interface, audio channels from your host computer software, AVB audio network streams, or mixer outputs. It features seven stereo auxiliary busses, three groups, a reverb bus that can serve as an alternate 4th group, a main mix bus, and a separate monitor bus that can function as a solo buss. The device's digital routing matrix allows you to route any source signal such as an analog or digital interface input, computer channel, mixer bus output, or network stream to any destination such as an interface output, host software input, mixer input, or any other device (or computer) on the AVB network. A single input or stereo pair can also be split and sent to multiple destinations. Also, Aatotal of up to 12 independent stereo mixes can all be independently controlled by different engineers or musicians via Wi-Fi connected iPhones or iPads. 66 Audio Channels : Features 4 mic inputs, 2 guitar inputs, 8 x 12 balanced analog with dedicated main and monitor outs, 2 x 8-channel ADAT optical, RCA S/PDIF (with SRC), and two independent phone outs for a total of 32 inputs and 34 outputs. Why would you want to use TB or USB if you can connect directly via Ethernet? Dante audio networking seems to be the better choice talking about industry standards

+B and H I think the 16A is the replacement but it only has (16)1/4" TRS inputs & outputs.The 24 I/O was much cooler.

2 things that Might hinder my purchase of these. 16A has no Monitor outputs, Vol control and no headphone . The units have TB but are USB 2.0.. why not 3.0 since we are talking bandwidth?

dj Royal Tee Jesus guy, it has all of those things. Read the specs, it's all there. Monitor through the mixer; volume control is in the program and can be accessed by tablet, phone, or web browser. Headphones can be plugged into analog outputs.
