@MOTU: You did it again. And again, you did it right. Congratulations for this new and awesome product family. First of all, in this presentation, Dave "Magic Dave" Roberts doesn't exaggerate, the system is easy to install, to configure and to control. It simply works. A few weeks ago, I bought a1248 AVB and an 8M AVB and installed them in my project studio. I got to say that these interfaces are really amazing, first of all sonically as well as in terms of flexibility and usability. I run them alongside DP8 on an iMac and everything works flawlessly. I'll definitely expand my AVB system in near future since I am fully convinced of what MOTU's has achieved with this new class of audio interfaces. MOTU did a fabulous job, thumbs up!

So much technology here and it sounds like whoever did the audio for this didn't know how to set the wireless beltpack properly for the mic. The overload on the presenter's audio is just awful. :(

Hi Motu, this looks really amazing, Can you answer a quick question form ? If this protocol is able to send huge streams via Ethernet, can you just connect a computer to the ethernet hub to access these audio streams? IE cut out the Thunderbolt/USB ?

hey man, what we need is a way to jam real time with anybody in the whole world via internet - what have you got for that?

King Kor You got to understand that the AVB protocol was designed to work in a LAN (local area network) IT environment. In contrast to that, streaming audio and/or video data via the internet is basically based on telecommunication protocols, which are either designed from scratch or can be based on more or less modified standard IT protocols used for data transfer through the internet. So, we're talking about two different technologies here. As usual, the guys at MOTU hold their cards close to their chests when it's about what's on their drawing boards already. Maybe someday they'll surprise us with a robust and reliable solution that might grand you wish. Let's see...

JamKazam app. Check it out. Works well with my ethernet connected Mac Pro and my older Motu PCIe-424 card and 2408. A fast audio connection is necessary to avoid real-time latency. These new interfaces connected over Thunderbolt would be ideal.

Audio guy with distorted peak mic audio…..typical and really annoying!
