@diego-Oo-693 жыл бұрын
Do you use this configuration only for bike park and Enduro or is good for an use xc? I think of buy an 27,5 rear well but with a 2,4 maximum for a global use... Is better for the change of direction?
@simonridesmtbtrails24224 жыл бұрын
I have one of these. The rockrider AM 100 S is a very capable mtb, great on all types of trail. The Hutchinson tyres performed quite well in dry conditions but as soon as the autumn/winter months came, they just weren’t up to it so I’ve now changed to Maxxis minion DHR II Max terra 3C on front and rear in 2.4in and that’s much better. A part from that all stock, just changed the grips to DMR death grips and now experimenting with 30 teeth chainring for easier climbs instead of the 34 teeth it comes with

Few weeks later and done some rides with it. My opinion: it climbs really really good! I'm totally out of shape and kept me going up some steep klimbs. Even with the weight of the bike. Descents are an absolute blast! Even with the "conservative" geometry that compared to other brands the bike doesn't feel conservative at all. Going to take it to more serious stuff the next few weeks. I've also done a bit on the cable management because it was an absolute mess. Now it's all thighdy again. I absolutely love this bike considered it's price point which is an absolute steal

Could you please explain how you managed the cables? I'm seriously contemplating buying this bike for my son and me but the cabling is seriously horrendous. That exposed cable below the BB is just asking to be snagged on something. Thank you in advance!
@frederikjacob19853 жыл бұрын
@@MarioJerin I've seen on a French spoken channel how to fix some of the cable routing problems. I also used 2 new zip ties on the frame in stead of the original one. The dropper post cable I've made more flush onto the frame an zip tied it also on the rear brake hose. Then zipped in the cockpit the brake/dropper cables together on the left side and the gear and brake cables on the right side.

@BlessedByTheDevilTV3 жыл бұрын
I think there is a huge misconception about what these bikes are capable of. You really get a bang for your buck. Their components seem to have a good quality in comparison to other renowned brands. I have the Rockrider XC 900 and a friend of mine owns the Scott scale 930, and there is a 400€ difference between the two, and I feel like they’re both very similar, with the exception that rockrider’s suspension is a bit better (for less overall value)

If i change the HTA with a 1,5° adapter and choose a bigger size frame, will this not update the geometry, and make it more progressive?
@offroadcc2 жыл бұрын
This will change the geometry and make it more progressive but a larger frame will come with a taller seat tube and standover height. Those are two things that don't need to be any taller, in my opinion.

I'm looking to get into MTB as an absolute beginner, I've looked into decathlon because of their price point for the bike you get. I need to buy cheap first time just in case I don't enjoy the sport but just need to see the quality. Would you recommend this bike?
@offroadcc2 жыл бұрын
This is a good bike for a complete beginner, although someone new to the sport may prefer a hardtail mountain bike (one without rear suspension) as they're simpler to set up and great to learn on. If you've not spent any time on a mountain bike off-road and are unsure whether or not you'll enjoy mountain biking, we recommend that you check your local trail centre to see if there's a rental service available or see if you can borrow a mates bike for your first couple of rides. That'll also give you a better idea of what kind of bike you might like to buy before taking the plunge.

Hi, cheers for the comment! With the AM 100 S you've got a fully trail ready machine with a dropper post and it's got a better spec than the Mythique. However, the Mythique has a slightly more aggressive geometry and it's prime for upgrades.

Hi, for reference I'm 5'10" with an inseam of around 73 cm and I tested the bike in a large. To fit over it with the correct saddle height, I had to have the seat post inserted into the bike as far as it would go.

The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.

Can you put different air/coil shocks on this bike?
@offroadcc3 жыл бұрын
Hi, absolutely you can put a different air shock on this bike, you'll just need a shock with the same measurements and fittings. In practice, you can fit a coil shock but that may not be best for the bike as coil shocks are often more linear than their air counterparts and could bottom out more easily.
