lucy is one of the two groups that I consider to have a golden discography which basically means that every song is a masterpiece (other group is being onewe, I really hope u will check them out one day too, tho I think in s3 sadly there won't be onewe) anyway, lucy are great, I really love them, they are fr so uplifting and fun and playful with their sound from what I know I believe they really do produce/write their own music they are so talented 🤧 ty for checking out lucy! btw loved to see u fall in love with gwangil, the drummer, ahahhaa

@@minoirene3113 yess ! he's currently 28yo :) he actually didn't make it into the lineup for Lucy in the show superband he got eliminated very early on but Lucy had to let their main vocalist go after the end of the show because he belonged to another active group so they ended up contacting sangyeop afterwards and then he joined !

fun fact ! the drummer gwangil actually auditioned the show superband where they were formed as a vocalist ! but when he was put into the group LUCY they needed a drummer so he said hey I've kinda played a little drums in the past, and straight up learned how to play the drums for the band :)

they do have this seasonal kinda project going on with their first 4 releases! flowering is spring, snooze is fall, jogging is summer, and hero is winter! they have this full on instrumental piece(INTRO) which they released alongside flowering (their debut), and another full-on instrumental piece which was released with hero (OUTRO) to indicate the end of their 4 season project concept thing (from what I have heard) !! lucy has been my all time favorite these past 2 years and I'm sooo glad you looked into them, thank you for this!!

you should definitely check out more of their stuff when you can!! I’d personally recommend their songs Snooze and Stove, two of my favourite tracks from them (alongside the outro from their Inside album). Super special tracks that I wish more people knew about 🧎🏻‍♀️ (and if you’re interested in seeing other bands that incorporate more classical instruments, I’d highly recommend Hoppipolla, who have a cellist. Both them and Lucy were formed on the same show, Superband! Great program with a lineup that just oozed talent)

you will hear the drummer in pretty much every song from Lucy!! The guitarist obv is the main vocalist but the drummer always has his verses and we LOVE it

OMG you're reacting to LUCY???? THANK YOU! You're amazing! I'm sure someone already mentioned it, but Gwangil wasn't originally supposed to be a drummer, but they didn't have one, and Gwangil can do pretty much anything, so... that's why they have a drummer vocalist. It's a common thing for Gwangil to have solo parts in Lucy songs.

There's a reason Flowering was my #1 song played on Spotify in 2020 and Lucy was I think my #2 artist. There's just something special and feel good about them. I'm so glad you enjoyed them!

They don't get a lot of love on reaction channels because they don't get as many views but there are so many I love and the vocalists ALWAYS hit all kinds of different. Lucy have two main vocalists sangyeop and the drummer gwangil ! the bassist wonsang does adlibs and harmonies and sometimes sub vocal lines and once he did a rap :) yechan the violinist doesn't use his voice on their tracks very much

Omg I didn’t expect you to react to Lucy! They’re one of the underrated gems I found recently together with Pentagon 😭. I fell in love with them instantly! They’re sound is different from other bands. Plus, their songs remind me of inspiring anime series with the “you got this” theme. Waaah I’m so happy you found Lucy! the drummer sang on the first one! and second one too! LUCY has 2 vocalist (the guitarist and the drummer) and they always sing in every title song. the bassist is a sub-vocalist and he usually have some short lines. And you were right, they do make their songs themselves almost completely. Their bassist is their main producer but all the others have written songs for the group as well :D you also got it right when talking about the theme of "inner child" because thats actually their main theme that they want to convey in all of their songs! ^__^ thank you for reacting to LUCY! i hope you continue to listen to them 🥺💙

I'm really late to watching this reaction, but I'm so glad I finally did! I loved how you freaked out over Gwangil, the drummer, his voice does have that effect on people lol Having his voice and Sangyeop's (which I find amazingly unique and recognisable) on the same group is a blessing. Lucy is such a great band, they are all incredible, incredible musicians and, like you said, they always seem like they're having so much fun playing. I think that's one of the reasons I always get a happy and peaceful feeling when I listen to them. They've become my go-to when I need a pick-me-up. They released their first full album last month. 58 minutes of pure awesomeness. We even get a lovely song sung solely by Yechan, the violinist. I highly recommend it, even with you don't want to react to it (i know recording and editing takes a lot of time), just give it a listen on your own, it's just such a good album.

stray kids and lucy are my ults so I'm so happy you reacted to them, also yes they write their own music. for the most part wonsang (bassist) produces it but on blue (their last ep) each of the members wrote, composed, and arranged a song (some w the help of wonsang)! actually wonsang was apart of a producer group before this band, I think he still works with them on some things. all the members are insanely talented :)
