FIRST LOOK: SPECIALIZED LEVO CARBON ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN BIKE

Just took my first ride on this bike (Levo Carbon base model) yesterday and here’s my take. First of all it is WAY fun to ride. For anyone worried about the lower spec components, don’t be. I was concerned especially about the suspension but….I did one of my favorite rides that includes some pretty challenging terrain and racked up 8 top 10’s on Strava segments on the EMTB leaderboards. I live in the San Jose, Ca area so plenty of competition. If you are a capable rider, the stock suspension works just fine. If you’ve been considering an EMTB definitely jump on this deal that’s happening right now. Mine was $3500+tax. Even if you do decide to upgrade certain components you’ll still come out way ahead of the game.

I got the same deal through Cycle Sport Scotts Valley, plus extra battery. INSANE deal. I love this bike so much. A few of my riding buddies got the the same bike, it is fun to all be evenly equipped!

hi, yeah with your experience in e-MTB, which bike would you think is best between 2023 turbo levo base carbon or 2023 Marin E2. Thanks in advance. FYI my style of riding is not a factor. I want to know what YOU think.

@@johnmassoud1733 Correct, they are interchangeable. The outrageous price of replacing the battery makes the upgrade impractical. Specialized makes the battery proprietary so third party or DIY isn't possible.

When I bought mine 2 weeks ago tfor 3500 with free 700wh battery for free , that's 1300 bucks for free. I believe until now they still give a new battery jsut not sure about the extra discount to make it 3500 plus tax.

@@marccd2 Tell me more. Did you purchase it at a bike store or online through specialized? What units of currency are you referring to, USD? That price sounds too low to be USD. The 700W battery you are referring to was a swap out for the original or in addition to the 500W battery?

@@TC-hl1ws Purchased at my local store. They said only customer that came in to store can get the deal. the battery was additional battery (made my 500wh battery a back up). This is US dollar. I believe specialized still offer this free 700wh battery for free on their website.

I just got one of these and the battery is defective and Specialized is putting me through the ringer replacing it. Never Specialized again!

Nope the carbon 2023 has this battery: Specialized M3-700, Integrated battery, 700WH. So it is a very good price and a rip off for those who spent 8,500 on the Comp for a slightly better fork.

Completely different model. The one you listed was the turbo levo carbon comp. This is just the base carbon levo that they just released for 2023.

Just bought one from my LBS 3500 USD including the additional 700wh battery. Can’t beat that!
