They just took the Garmin iOS demo app and tweeted it to work with MSFS. The database in the demo is typically updated yearly so most of the time you’ll be out of date and weather is not available and I believe it only supports USA airports …(Dalt means density altitude)

It was my understanding that the TDS 650 would display below the 750, but that appears not to be the case. Just bought this today and so far, not overly confident that I am going to be pleased with the purchase e.g. create a flight plan and import it! Be aware that you will likely use an up to date tool like simbrief, which is using an up to date AIRAC. Well that's likely to then use aair routes etc that may not be in the supplied AIRAC and you then have to sort those issues out. Equally if you generate a route in e.g. simbrief then try to manually input the route, you bump into similar issues. Will try some more later but thus far, far from impressed.

@@goalski134 In part I misread the documentation and the 650 isn’t displayed below it anyway. However I did end up buying the PMS50 because I want the system to match updated AIRAC cycles from other apps I use and keep up to date. That said, it’s probably not critical and I did go back and use TDS for a while. I think I can say with some certainty that the TDS app in my opinion is better than the PMS50, particularly user wps and finding places to add to the Flight Plan (even with the out of date AIRAC) but I had to stop using it as my plane of preference for VOR flights and so on doesn’t work the AP properly with TDS; don’t know why. E.g. I like and fly a lot the King Air and you can turn on AP Nav mode, switch to Hdg mode then can’t switch back. Manages VS didn’t work either. Nothing you do seems to get this to work so I reverted to the PMS50. It’s a shame really. The AP issues I encountered may not be there for other aircraft of course.

@@LordRoxy thank you for such a fantastic and detailed response. sadly i has not helped me make a decision! 😂 the concerns i have seem to have have impacted you too. they’re premium priced products so i will have to do more pondering. i got the a10 and f16 for dcs for less than these are selling for! anyway, i appreciate your help. cheers!
