Interesting that the Bamboo darts actually have a difference in performance from the non-bamboo Ember and Ruby darts! I never thought the ridges in the foam would actually make a difference

These darts are lighter than standard half-lengths like Max, AFpro, Worker. It increases FPS out of the barrel but reduces distance and accuracy because lighter darts are more affected by air resistance and wind. They lose that velocity faster than normal half-lengths. There is a point where increased velocity makes up for decreased mass, but these don't reach that.

Having an actual magazine is a big improvement. 6 darts plus 1 in the chamber, pretty slick that it let's you top off like that. Get a high-and-tight. Me personally, I've always preferred longarms over pistols.

Can confirm, on Amazon, it comes with everything it did in the tournament edition. So holster, 3 mags, mag holster, and goggles.

The gen 2 bamboo are faster than AFP/DZ Max because they weigh substantially less. ~0.75g for bamboo 2 vs ~0.95g for AFP/DZ Max

I think they should have kept the front end of the mk2.1 just as small as the mk2.....Im used to using the mk2 and its size makes me love it so much, a magazine loaded version that is much larger isnt enough for a change

@@m00k61 nah not really ur already handing the clip/mag both ways taking it out of the holster and to the blaster and from the blaster to ur drop bag...just when ur at the blaster your either holding two mags at once during the switch or holding a single clip and injecting half lengths into the internal mag with ease all with just one hunk of plastic in ur hand....both methods are just as relatively swift....no one's thunking their proprietary mags for these blasters into the ground or other surfaces...

The profile seems a lot better to me. The first one was just real enough to be threatening, and this one is just toy enough not to be. Have you tried using a Mk 2 speed loader with it yet? Looks like it doesn't have the two notches for orientation.

Can you load through the top like the original mk2? It looks like you can, but not sure. It would be a cool feature if you could for run and blast sort of thing. Been hopeing for a sidearm like this for a year. Great video. Also, I think you forgot to add the endwar stuff in the description.

I’d be a little angry that it has a proprietary mag,but given that its based around the constraint of getting the pistol to be as compact as possible makes it a lot better. Hopefully we see spare mags go up for sale and the mags ending up in later compact designs (maybe even higher capacity versions for those who plan to use this as a primary blaster.)

I think its an incredibly strange presumption to want something designed with a strictly better magazine to be compatible with a cheaper one. We've been really lucky that a lot of blasters have used the cheaper options, but mag in grip is a beast everybody seems to tackle differently and I dont think any company owes any other company compatibility in that arena.

For what its worth, I dont think your comment is strange, its just the number one question I've gotten "Will it take nightengale mags" and while the answer is obviously no, my followup question was kinda "why should it?" Anyways, DZ told me that there will be additional mags for sale soon, but also the blaster comes with 3 magazines, which IMO is enough for most uses outside of a dedicated pistol loadout.

Something like a compact SMG esque version of the MK-3 or even a carbine version of the MK-2.1 would be nice to see.

It's pretty cool that it's mag in grip but it sure looks bigger... sorta defeats the point... I wish you had a side by side of the two. If you're going to make a sidearm/backup, it should be as small as absolutely possible without sacrificing power or accuracy. I obviously don't know what's inside that thing yet but it sure does look like a tremendous amounted of wasted space in the front. I can not imagine that it couldn't be slimmed down in the front.

The base MK2.1 seems to have less power than the MK2 it self. The magazine is much better than manual loading
