Nice unboxing video. I think that is more easy to discover ALCON 2020 while not recording. :) You have to collect stars to chose the desired speed/weapon using FIRE 2. (see the manual)

I wish you had used a CRT instead. Scanlines makes the graphics actually look better IMO. Also about your comment "Not the most exciting game..". Are you kidding me ? This is a groundbreaking Toaplan game. One of their finest shmups. You should be grateful it is available for the CPC. I wish this cart would have been released in the 80s.

Thank you for your comment, I stopped using CRT as I don't have space in the limited area that I create these videos. I hope you watched the entire video as I do say lots of positive things about the game, and the solution, i really do love it and love what it has done for Amstrad CPC. In addition I'd love to see a version of Ikari Warriors based on this hardware solution, but it remains to be seen if the hardware guys I bought this from watch my video.

I agree that CPC games look great on CRT, but the Amstrad colour CRT monitors used a shadow mask, so they didn't have visible scan lines!

It is the same hardware scrolling technique used in ZTB, yeah. Also used in other recent games like Red Sunset and Corsair.

For me Mission Genocide had the best vertical scrolling, and Killer Cobra the best horizontal scrolling.
