Wow. This is such a different game. Your movements and mindset is so different compared to the usual rigthback. I used to think a winger was like a rigthback that dribles more and defends less, but is much more different. I am impressed and humbled by how little football I actually know. Great video.

@ 5:01 is excellent defensive work. Seeing the danger coming and then sprinting 20 yards to nullify it.... and it looks like nothing - but If you were a little slower to react (and if they were more clinical with the ball) then you’re giving up a huge opportunity. It’s sort of thing that goes unnoticed, but midfielders who can do this consistently are worth their weight in gold... it amazes me the amount of ‘elite’ level midfielders who can’t/ won’t do stuff like this.

11:17 what a great touch man!! one humble comment: I understand the pressure and aggression in the way you play, but judging by the way you go to defend the 1v1, you usually go to fast to the guy with the ball making easy for him to read your desperation: pass the ball in between the legs or dribbling against you. This is textbook defending from the wing position. People can really learn from this. You worked really well with your fullback, it sucks when your fullback doesn't press the winger when you press your fullback and the winger gets it for free. I get the feeling your team likes to play it through the middle and that's why we don't see so much offensive play from the wing, or maybe it was just this game idk. Still, great game!

I don't know the rules of this championship but in Brazilian national championships (and maybe in others country too, but I'm not sure) if defenders just deflect the ball is still offside, only when defenders try to kick (or any offensive action) that offsides rule does not apply. and ball possesion is not that important as your team plays counterattacking, like simeone's atletico de Madrid
