When I factory ordered my truck this time I opted out of the factory gooseneck for this reason. Can’t beat the B&W turn over ball. I had to use shackles to hook the trailer up and I could hear the ball rattle in the receiver more because it’s just the two little “ball bearings” holding it in instead of the square with a pin.

For some reason RAM had to be different. They should have just offered the B&W gooseneck system as standard for the 3500 for bragging rights. And have it optional for the 2500 and 1500. It would be so much cheaper for the guys buying these trucks instead of paying for shipping and the install.

The capless fuel cap next to the def fill is a bad design spilled def will go right into fuel and thats bad

Powerstroke Strong 903 There's a drain inside of the fuel stem that allows anything that isnt past a certain point to drain out. Though, I do agree that it is a dumb design overall.

Screw the warranty if you don't take that garbage off soon it will wear down the engine. More so if you aren't constantly towing with it. I've seen trucks with 100k empty miles completely trashed and out of warranty. You don't want to wait until the warranty is up, it won't end well.

Switch up the Clevis slip hooks a size larger than you have and it will fit. If that chain is a 5/16" use a 3/8" slip hook, if its a 3/8" chain use a 1/2" slip hook. Solved my problem. Never use carabiner clips. There not Grade 70.

Drill a 1/4” hole in bottom of exhaust below stack and put a nipple with copper or stainless tubing for drainage to help eliminate the mess when it rains

Ran into the same with the ford factory gooseneck stuff. I e used a 5/8 clevis to be able to attach the break away chains.

You dont have to press the “alt trailer height” button, even with it on the truck will auto level itself. Well atleast with my 2016 2500 thats how it works. Cool thing is that you can just lower your trailer landing gear to where it bearly touches the ground and keep the Alt trailer height button pressed to release air from the bags and you’ll magically diconnect. Congrats on your baby!!

I don't think it works like the 2500 though. Your truck relies only bags for height where his should still have leaf springs. The 3500 doesn't have adjustable ride height to my knowledge. Just height compensation for trailers, similar to adding bags to a standard 3500.

I stopped watching the new ones about a week and a half ago because I was watching all your videos from day one. A potentially stupid question.... Never mind. As I was wondering why you wouldn't use the 2 forward fixtures to prevent the goose neck from destroying the tailgate if it comes loose, I realized that the same goes for the backside of the cab once you realize its loose and attempt to stop the thing. Out of 2 scenarios, having a multi ton trailer come flying through the cab is worse.

Be sure to keep the internals of the ball greased. They are carbon steel and will rust in place and won't release the hitch. Happened on my 18, had to drive it out from underneath with a punch.

Had the same problem with my dually. Bought bigger hooks and just swapped them out. Your brake away line should be attached separate from your safety chains. DOT would be all over that, just fyi.

On #RaceTruck is the rear end stretched and if so how much? I kept looking at the side view, and something just looked different..
