FIRST MOTHER'S DAY | Having our son's urn custom made in Maui

Our first Mother's Day without our son. Celebrated in Maui. This trip was planned months before our son was due. Instead of canceling the trip we decided to make it a trip to celebrate Jameson, the sweet boy who made me a mother. On Mother's Day, our last day in Maui, we had just picked up Jameson's new urn and we headed to a secluded beach. We had carved his name into a piece of drift wood and at sunset we sent the driftwood off into the ocean with the flowers we had saved from our leis. I hope it will wash up somewhere far away some day and whoever finds it will wonder who Jameson is. Maybe people just knowing his name comforts us. Maybe knowing the ocean now holds a memory of him is comforting as well. All of the flowers returned to the shore and washed up on the sand while the drift wood continued its journey into the sea. Such a beautiful sight.
The wood urn was a custom piece turned by Emiliano Achaval, the most talented wood turner in Maui.

The love you two share is so beautiful.. it's the love I finally found that I never thought I could. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. My brother died of a sudden fentanyl overdose and he was only 25.. and my Mom and I have just fallen apart.. for me I lost a brother but she lost her baby boy, too.. not in the same way but we deeply sympathize. You're both so strong; your son would be so proud of you. I'm glad the previous video of your last moments with him was recommended.. because we know all too well the pain of a life being cut far too short.
